莉迪亚·安德鲁(Lydia Andrew) is the Studio Head of Creative at DICE, she was previously an Audio Director at Ubisoft Annecy and Ubisoft Québec for ten years. She was a part of the development team for several games in the Assassin's Creed series.

Lydia Andrew graduated from the University of Warwick in 1992, with a Bachelor of Arts with honors in Dramatic Arts and Film. She then later graduated from the National Film and Television School in 2000 with a Diploma in Film and television sciences, Sound Location recording and Post Production.[1] Andrew began her early career in location sound recording, she transitioned to film and television post-production before moving into games via a connection at NFTS.[2]

Andrew joined Ubisoft Annecy in March 2012, and under them was the Audio Director of the multiplayer sections of Assassin's Creed III released in 2012, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag released in 2013, as well as the Audio Director of the Annecy Studio for the collaborative involvement in Assassin's Creed: Unity released in 2014. She then moved to Ubisoft Quebec in 2015.[1]

In a 2015 interview by The Sound Architect, Lydia Andrew, shared her experiences working on Assassin's Creed: Syndicate. Andrew and her team conducted thorough research to authentically capture the sounds of Industrial Revolution London, collaborating globally for recordings. She emphasized fresh thinking and critical listening in game audio, urging aspiring professionals to engage with various media. Andrew's approach to Syndicate’s audio involved integrating historical accuracy with creative sound design, ultimately crafting a dynamic, immersive experience that highlighted the distinct atmospheres of 1868 London’s boroughs.[2]

In a 2018 Assassin's Creed: Odyssey Inside the Studio interview, Andrew discussed her role in creating the game's immersive audio. She highlighted the importance of speech and casting, given the game's emphasis on player choice, and described her work in directing music and sound to enhance emotions and gameplay. Recreating sounds from 2,500 years ago involved extensive research, collaboration with historians and specialists, and field recordings, such as using a wooden galleon to mimic ancient ship sounds. Andrew's goal was to support the game's realism, pace, and emotional depth, aiming to provide players with a seamless and immersive auditory experience.[3]
