Iroquois Chiefs convened at Johnson Hall in 1774 to negotiate Johnson buying their land. 嘎納多貢 alerted 拉通給哈頓 to the meeting, and he assassinated Johnson when he ordered his men to threaten the Chiefs with muskets . He promptly fled and dived into a lake.
