Trumbull's actions in the war garnered the Assassins' suspicion, and as such, Ratonhnhaké:ton sent a group of Assassins to investigate the governor. With the investigation confirming Trumbull's Templar allegiance, Ratonhnhaké:ton subsequently sent the Assassins to eliminate Trumbull, a task which proved successful in 1785.
