裂隙是Animus中记忆载入的缺口，在鹰眼视觉下可见。裂隙计有10个，位于遍布罗马全境的关键地标上，每一个都隐藏着克莱·卡茨马雷克的簇谜题。

裂隙与《刺客信条II》中的字形对等，但它指向的不是一段真相视频，而只包含了一段这样的讯息：“奇迹正在执行”（The miracle is in the execution，其中execution有“执行”和“处决”的含义）。讯息显示了一个胎儿的超声波图像，还包含了一个可执行文件。

谜题类型

裂隙保留了字形中的不少谜题形式，例如旋转图片、寻找“画中画”等，同时也引入了不少新的谜题。

棋局：给出一副棋盘，以及对应的棋子，一段隐语会暗示你如何移动棋子。

解码：给出许多图片和谜语，你可以通过屏幕旋转一个标有符号的轮盘，起到密码表的作用，据此排列一个2行4列的表格，表格上有可变的符号，这就是密码箱。通过阅读谜语，你可以在图中找到某一张暗藏“正确坐标”线索的图片，一旦密码的对应规律被发现，就可以旋转轮盘破解密码了。

声波匹配：给出一段音频和许多声波图形，挑选正确的波形以使其与屏幕上的最终波形吻合，就能载入这段音频、前往下一个谜题。

隔离区：这是每个裂隙的最终谜题。给出一片黑幕，上有一个小的圆形瞄准孔，通过瞄准孔能看到背景图像，以及若干个闪烁的红色圆点。当瞄准孔接近圆点时，会发出哔哔声，所有圆点必须在限制时间内被激活，一旦超过时限，谜题将会重置，重置后圆点的位置不变。完成谜题之后，裂隙所包含的文件夹就会解锁。
