毒镖是一种无声的、远距离的武器，用于毒杀目标。

历史

罗马

在罗马遇到莱昂纳多·达·芬奇之后，他会给埃齐奥的毒刃有偿提供一种发射飞镖的升级。毒镖的弹药量与毒刃共享，因此在裁缝铺升级毒药袋，也就能提升毒镖的携带量。

毒药能在死去的卫兵、暗杀目标和昏迷的平民身上搜到，也能从医生处购买。

此外，通过收集一定数量的原料，能在台伯岛的医生处解开速效毒药。与普通毒药的效力相比，速效毒药起效更快，致死时间缩减到之前的一半左右。^[1]

奥斯曼帝国

在君士坦丁堡的冒险历程中，埃齐奥提升了毒镖的性能，由此可以更快地瞄准敌人。他也开始把毒镖和毒刃搭配使用。

就这样，毒镖成为了一种辅助武器，与匕首、袖剑和中型武器相并肩，速效毒药的升级也能在城市里的任何医生手中买到。^[2]

海盗黄金时代

在18世纪早期的加勒比海，当地刺客利用动物骨头和提取自当地野生生物的毒剂发射毒镖（吹箭）。他们使用两种吹箭：狂暴吹箭使目标发狂、攻击周围的人，昏迷吹箭使目标陷入暂时的昏睡。这两种吹箭的效力都能通过不同动物的皮毛制作升级。^[3]

18世纪·路易斯安那

刺客艾芙琳·德·格朗普雷从她的导师阿加特处获得了弗朗索瓦·麦坎达的吹管，她可以使用吹箭在远距离上无声无息地杀死敌人。

后来，她遇到了San Danje的巫医，得到了另一种吹箭。其药效类似于速效毒药，其他卫兵会争相与中毒者打斗。

继此之后，艾芙琳的同伴热拉尔·布兰科为她制造了太阳伞枪，她可以身穿淑女着装发射吹箭而不引人注意。^[4]

美国独立战争

在美国独立战争期间，刺客康纳·肯维能使用涂有剧毒（毒芹萃取物）的小型飞刀，在不被察觉的情况下无声地杀死敌人。除此之外，这种毒镖也是绝佳的狩猎工具，许多动物都会因药效而变得虚弱。^[5]

效果

毒镖的效果和毒刃相同，它和袖枪一样可以远距离发射，但在发射时完全无声，这一点在潜入任务中特别有用。瞄准、射出毒镖的动作几乎无迹可寻，类似于十字弩。

毒镖命中目标之后，立即产生如下效果：

第一阶段：目标站在原位（或继续行走在队伍中），但已经开始出现双手抓胸、站立不稳的症状。在这一阶段，目标的同伴不会注意到他的异状。
第二阶段：毒性进一步发作，目标开始盲目挥击（佩有武器的目标会拔出武器），任何人进入攻击范围都会受到伤害。平民和卫兵都会被吸引过去，形成绝佳的潜入机会，当然，除非事出突然，围观者一般会保持安全距离以免被击中。
第三阶段：毒性完全发作，目标倒地，但仍然能感受到毒素窜行的痛苦。再过一段时间，目标的生命力被毒药彻底耗尽之后，才会死去。

用途

只要距离足够远，埃齐奥用毒镖射击卫兵是不会被其他人察觉的。只有当他站得太近，卫兵足以看见他的射击动作时，才会发动攻击。中毒的卫兵——尤其是装备了长武器、生命值中等的搜寻者，可以吸引周围大量卫兵的注意力，从而成功地引开他们。由此，在人群中发射毒镖不会引起注意，是一个极好的融入并暗杀的机会。

琐事趣闻

用毒镖击中一个骑手会使他摔下马背，毒性直接从第三阶段发作。
在刺客信条：兄弟会的小说中，埃齐奥（有时是其他刺客）是将毒镖“掷出”而不是以手腕处的机簧发射。
刺客信条III中的毒镖和刺客信条II中的匕首用的是同一个模型。
