Yang Yiqing (1454 – 1530) was a Chinese scholar and official who lived during the reign of two Ming Emperors, the Zhengde Emperor and later the Jiajing Emperor. In the latter's reign, he served as Grand Secretariat in the imperial court.
Yang Yiqing was a friend of fellow scholar Wang Yangming. During his tenure, he was governor of Datong, an important stronghold located near the borders to the Mongol Northern Yuan dynasty.[1]
