Wei Yu

Wei Yu was the assassin of Qin Shi Huang, the first Emperor of China. For his act in fighting tyranny and preserving the welfare of the people, Wei Yu is regarded by the Assassin Brotherhood as one of their predecessors.

Biography

The first Emperor of China, Qin Shi Huang, was a tyrannical ruler with ties to Templar Order. In order to protect the people, Wei Yu resolved to free the land from Qin Shi Huang's oppression.[1]

On 10 September 210 BCE during one of the Emperor's tours of eastern China,[2] Wei Yu struck the Emperor with his spear, killing him.[1]

By the time of the Italian Renaissance, a tomb dedicated to Wei Yu was located on the top floor of the Torre Grossa in San Gimignano, Italy. The Italian Assassin Ezio Auditore da Firenze would later explore his tomb and take the hidden seal from inside the tomb's sarcophagus, allowing him to unlock the vault under the Villa Auditore in Monteriggioni that held Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad's armor.[1]
