Wei Yu

Wei Yu

Wei Yu was a member of the Chinese Brotherhood of Assassins during the Qin Dynasty, which was ruled by Emperor Qin Shi Huang, a Templar-backed tyrant who oppressed the people of China. In order to protect the people, the Assassins resolved that the land had to be freed from the Emperor's oppressive control.

On September 10, 210 BC, during one of the Emperor's Eastern China tours, Wei Yu struck the Emperor with his spear, killing him.

By the time of the Renaissance, Wei Yu's sarcophagus was moved to San Gimignano, Italy, on the top floor of the Torre Grossa. Fellow Assassin Ezio Auditore da Firenze would later explore his tomb and take the hidden seal from inside the sarcophagus, which would help him to obtain Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad's armor.
