"It was Summer. Good sailing weather. The monastery was a centre for religious studies and we crashed into the city like a tidal wave."
―Juhani Otso Berg describing his ancestor's memories to Violet, 2014.[src]-[m]

An unidentified Viking raider was involved in a raid on the Northumbrian island of Lindisfarne in 793. He was an ancestor of the Master Templar Juhani Otso Berg.

Viking raid on Lindisfarne

In 793, during the Lindisfarne raid, the Viking raider fought against and defeated a Saxon warrior, whom he then offered the chance to join his clan. However, the Saxon warrior was overcome by grief, crying out that God had abandoned his people and that nothing remained but chaos. Feeling pity for him, the Viking raider killed him without a second thought.[1]

Sometime in or before 2014, Juhani Otso Berg relived his ancestor's memories of the raid, which he would later describe to Violet da Costa.[1]
