Thief, I need a quick translation. If you really are Italian, then what's Italian for "The Sleeping Fox"? Jacques le BlancReception Area 05:53, November 29, 2010 (UTC)

Il Fox di sonno. :D --THIEF 05:56, November 29, 2010 (UTC)

Really? I was expecting a different sentence. La Volpe mentioned a different translation in Brotherhood. It was "La Volpe ________" Think you can fill that blank? --Jacques le BlancReception Area 05:59, November 29, 2010 (UTC)
Whoops, sorry. I wasn't concentrating. I actually wrote 'Fox'. Meeh! The correct translation is "la volpe di sonno". Hope it helped. --THIEF 06:12, November 29, 2010 (UTC)
You're embarrasing me, Thief XD
War, the word I think you want is "addormentato". It means to be sleepy or in the act of sleep (also know as "sleeping"). "Di sonno" usually refers to the act itself, not to doing it. ;D -- D. Cello 11:02, November 29, 2010 (UTC)
Well, I'm not that good at Italian. My native language is English, sorry.. :( --THIEF 23:45, November 29, 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, that word sounds like what La Volpe said. Thanks Cello! :D Jacques le BlancReception Area 12:07, November 29, 2010 (UTC)

Hey Thief, how about you come on msn some time? -- Master Sima Yi 08:37, November 29, 2010 (UTC)

Sure. I only use it inside this wiki, I'll go on right now if you want? Although I am a bit busy. :P --THIEF 08:40, November 29, 2010 (UTC)

I am online right now. It'd be nice to get to know my fellow staff members a bit more, if you're not too busy. 'Cause if you are, then you musn't. I don't want to keep you from what you are busy with. -- Master Sima Yi 08:42, November 29, 2010 (UTC)
For some reason eBuddy is spitting out error messages, do you think we could use the IRC? Cheers --THIEF 08:51, November 29, 2010 (UTC)
You're using eBuddy, eh? I highly doubt you don't have msn installed on your computer, unless you have an Apple computer. Maybe you could look for it. Though I'll try to use the IRC first. If I can figure out how it works... -- Master Sima Yi 08:53, November 29, 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, I use eBuddy. My MSN application stuffed on my computer, one corrupted installation and not even a clean reg wipe or directory wipe and reinstall can fix it.. oO Thanks. :D --THIEF 08:55, November 29, 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, I had the same thing once on one of our computers. Though I installed the latest version some time later and it worked, surprisingly. I think I got the IRC working. -- Master Sima Yi 08:57, November 29, 2010 (UTC)

Istruttorium

I would like to request application for the Istruttorium as I have reached nearly 600 edits that include expanding, reformatting and rephrasing multiple articles to be both grammatically correct and easy to read. As a writer, I am always particular about word choice and grammar, thus I think I can be helpful in reviewing and correcting any article.

I hope that's an acceptable pitch. Thanks very much for any consideration :) =GuardDog 06:49, November 11, 2010 (UTC)

Sure! I agree, mate. You'll see your nom. in a second. Hope you get good results. --THIEF 06:56, November 11, 2010 (UTC)

Yup all good, same here although I have an exceptional memory of minor things, now.. where's the vino? Oh.. how damn ironic. --THIEF 04:51, November 12, 2010 (UTC)

Hey Theif, sorry about the Launh Trailer spoiler D:

You don't have to be sorry, you didn't spoil anything for anyone, we know nothing of how Rodrigo will die. So Thief a epic trailer, right? ; ) AssassinRome 17:29, November 12, 2010 (UTC)

Haha, that's okay, mate :D, you log into this wiki expecting a few spoilers anyway, so no worries there. And yes, the trailer was pretty awesome, although they re-used material from other trailers. Which was a cheap move. :P Cheers! --THIEF 23:45, November 12, 2010 (UTC)

RE: User page question

Hi ThiefAC. That lower right section is the Top pages section, which lists the top 6 most edited pages by the user. The six boxes seen on the test page will automatically display an image from the article it links to. If no image exists on the article, the beginning text of the article is displayed, which is what you see on that test page. JoePlay@fandom (talk) 01:16, November 13, 2010 (UTC)

Random

Hey Thief, what you did works, but typically I put the <choose> between the <center> tag so the transformer is not called repeatedly. See Template:Portal/Component/Quotes for an example. In the end it's just a matter of preference I suppose. Cheers and thanks for the compliments. -- tierrie talk contr 07:44, November 13, 2010 (UTC)

Merits

Thief. Since you introduced the merits to D (and technically, me also :D) you should introduce this to the other staff members, admins included. Same way you introduced it to D. It's official now, right? So it's only normal that the other staff members make their own merits. --WarClownWanna Talk? 16:55, November 13, 2010 (UTC)

Rodrigo Borgia death

Hi Thief. From what we have seen in the Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood launch trailer Cesare, for some reason, got pissed off with his father and said "If I want you to die, you die!" and then atacked, do you actually think Cesare will kill Rodrigo? It could happen, no would see it coming. AssassinRome 15:16, November 14, 2010 (UTC)

Nah, I don't think so. Honestly, I know Ubisoft would want you to think that, but to be honest, it's unlikely. If he does kill the pope, Cesare would be jailed, murdered, jailraped and necrophiliraped. Hahahaha. :D What do you think? --THIEF 21:52, November 14, 2010 (UTC)

Hey James, I was intending to finish the memory projects before Brotherhood came out so we can move on to Brotherhood quickly, but due to personll reasons and due to the now confusing wiki I didn't have the time to continue, for the next 20 days I'll be in America agian to visit my old friends and family, so when i get back, or even when im there, ill try to finish the memories from AC2 :)Thanks for understanding. DanMan7308 15:52, November 16, 2010 (UTC) DanMan7308

Nice! Don't worry about it, mate. It's all good, family and friends are always more important than a wiki on the internet. Don't sweat it, everyone seems to have forgotten about it anyway, but it'll revive soon enough. :D Good luck in the US. --THIEF 20:25, November 16, 2010 (UTC)

Images Problem

Dunno who ask this question so I hope it's not a problem to be with you.
This morning I updated several pictures on the Chapter 1 - Bartolomeo d'Alviano but they don't seem to been updated at all. I mean, we can see that the size and the dimensions are from the new pictures I sent but what you actually see is still the old image! Is there some kind of bug with updated in the images? Is it just my computer messing up with me? Should I just upload a new image instead of updating the old one? Sekuiya 13:52, November 15, 2010 (UTC)

By the way, another question, I'm in the process on changing most of the pictures to full ones/clean ones, but they're mostly in .jpg while some in the article are in .png. Is there any specific process or should I just upload a new one with the .jpg and replace in the page? Sekuiya 14:32, November 15, 2010 (UTC)

Sometimes it takes a while for pictures to update. If it doesn't update itself after a while, then I think it's best to just upload the better version at a separate file. That's just me though. Thief's the image expert here. --WarClownWanna Talk? 16:00, November 15, 2010 (UTC)
Yep, what War said. I suggest uploading those images with different filenames. It's a bug with Wikia. Sorry for the inconvenience! :( --THIEF 21:08, November 15, 2010 (UTC)

Um.. It's right here Tonguesmiley. Although I did delete the backpack, that's a bit of a useless item. It's got no significance to the game, unlike the axe which you unlock (similar to Condittero War Hammer). No hard feelings, :(! Cheers, and good idea with creating the Bartolomeo's Axe article! Istruttori banner

Hey Thief, just something that's been bothering me-- I just noticed that there's incorrect grammar for the Istruttori member banner XD Yours and War's are correct, but the members' one isn't. It should be "This user is a member of the Istruttori, a team of editors who oversee, judge and uphold Good and Featured status..." not "...a team of editors who oversee, judges and uphold..."

Just thought I'd bring it up. It's a little ironic for an editor's banner to be incorrect :p Thanks =GuardDog 07:13, November 30, 2010 (UTC)

Auto-welcome

Hi, the auto-welcome bot has its edits listed on the Recent Changes. It might be a good idea to get the bot flagged as a bot by the VSTF or Wikia staff. If that is done, the bot will not spam the RC with welcomes. I can ask a staff/VSTF member to do so if you want. --Callofduty4 19:57, November 30, 2010 (UTC)

Oh, thanks! Only a 'crat can flag users as bots, you might want to inquire on his talkpage.

Cheers! --THIEF 21:12, November 30, 2010 (UTC)

Actually, bureaucrats may not flag accounts as bots. I've asked a Wikia staff member and he has done so. The auto-welcomer won't spam the recent changes any more. --Callofduty4 18:45, December 1, 2010 (UTC)
Hah, thanks; mate! It said on some botting manual that bureaucrats could flag users.. must've changed. Thanks for your dedication, mate. Cheers! --THIEF 22:04, December 1, 2010 (UTC)

thief, those pics you jsut added to the pazzi article look terrible oO Did you had your settings on low? -- D. Cello 01:13, December 3, 2010 (UTC)
Nah mate, that's how the scene is rendered in-game (it doesn't look THAT bad). I play with my settings on high. Some bits of the Pazzi Conspiracy Duomo scene are really good looking, some are not for some reason. Ubisoft forces low quality on that scene due to the amount of things happening (there is over a hundred civilians and about 20 guards, so there is reason for why they do it; it is stupid though). You can tell I play on high settings due to the quality of this picture. But yeah, there's not much we can do about that.. it's just how it is. Even with weird quality, how awesome is this picture? XD --THIEF 01:23, December 3, 2010 (UTC)

What the hell

Thief, I expected better from you. I mean, what the hell did you do to the Pazzi Conspiracy page!? Yeah, you replaced perfectly good images with slightly better images, but come on! You removed all the images I had put in there! What are you smoking!? Jacques le BlancReception Area 10:31, December 3, 2010 (UTC)

What? You have to be mistaken, all I did was add two images and replace the infobox image with a more important scene of the event; I think I replaced that glitched image of Giuliano getting slashed too. I don't see what I did wrong :(. If this is about you wanting the 'Added by War Clown' thing under some thumbnails, then just 'take credit' over my images. You only had one of your pictures removed anyway (that was from the body of the article); so I did not remove "all the images [you] put in there!". Calm down, you reverted my edit now anyway :\. Even though that current GiulianoSlash image is glitched, I guess i'll have to live with it. :( Sorry that you're dissapointed but I can't see how you'd yell and scream over this minor removal of one of the images you had uploaded (GiulianoSlash). Sorry, dude. I won't substitute one of your images again, mkay? :[ --THIEF 12:19, December 3, 2010 (UTC)

Check the history. What I saw was the removal of all the images, in place of 4 (great) images. This isn't about taking credit for pictures, Thief. It's about the article. All the other images were removed from the page. You can't have an article with only four images (Actually you can, it's the...you know what I'm saying) Let me repeat this: This isn't about taking credit for the work. Okay? I do this not for myself.... Why do people get the wrong impression when I say something? This I digress ._. Jacques le BlancReception Area 12:39, December 3, 2010 (UTC)

I thought so, I don't jump to conclusions and only expressed that as an "if", not a "why do you want credit?!?!"
Maybe it was a Wikia error that removed the images? Don't always jump to conclusions, mate.. I add images to articles all the time, seriously, I do. If I see an article with a huge gap of space, I try to fill it up because I appreciate pictures, and I only add in the awesome pictures too! I watch file uploads and stupid image additions like a freakin' hawk, I don't think i'd suddly go crazy and remove all these images purposely.
I've now checked the history and it was obviously a Wikia error (by the looks of it), it's happened to all of us atleast once. Do not jump to conclusions, it makes you look like a total ass. Jeez, you didn't even give me a chance. :P Cheers, --THIEF 12:47, December 3, 2010 (UTC)

To be fare, you yourself jumped to conclusions. You think this whole thing was for taking credit over the pictures, right? Right? Alright, I think everything's settled. I'll try to go easy on exclamation points next time I send a message. :P You can re-add the pictures again, just watch out. We might have another mishap. Chee-oh right. Hmm...lets see...I'll try to come up a trademark word on my own. :D Jacques le BlancReception Area 12:53, December 3, 2010 (UTC)

Actually, I didn't jump to a conclusion.. :P 3rd paragraph, first line:
"I thought so, I don't jump to conclusions and only expressed that [that as in the 'credit thing'] as an "if", not a "why do you want credit?!?!"" Glad you're alright now. It wasn't my fault, afterall. Just doing what I do.. editing. ;-) --THIEF 13:07, December 3, 2010 (UTC)

Well, whatever the case, all is good, yeah? Alright, back to work then. :D Jacques le BlancReception Area 13:36, December 3, 2010 (UTC)

Also, what else was I supposed to think? You were blaming me, so of course I'd jump to a conclusion. I thought I removed one of your pictures (didn't know at the time that a Wikia error removed all); so the only clear way was to think that it was about you wanting that 'Added by War Clown' thing. Anyway, yeah. All good I suppose, though I didn't do anything wrong at all :P. --THIEF 21:22, December 6, 2010 (UTC)

Featured Media/Images/Whatever

Thief, could you please direct me to the template where you put your images featured at the front page? I found some good images while I was reading some articles, and I want to put them there. Also, didn't I tell you to put one pic per era? o_0 Jacques le BlancReception Area 16:34, December 5, 2010 (UTC)

Yes, you told me ages ago when Brotherhood was on the brink of being heard of, just a weeks ago I added some Brotherhood pictures alongside AC II ones, because everyone is interested in Brotherhood, and to add to that reason I couldn't really find anymore signifcant images (besides ones like "Altaïr kills a guard", "Altaïr plays with his Apple" :P, etc) and seriously, I did look long and hard. Though I had this in mind that you would notice some day and added the images in one, huge bulk (meaning there was a heap of code to work with) so I can easily undo it. Do you want me to undo it and add 1191 images as well? --THIEF 22:01, December 5, 2010 (UTC)

Also, the template is here. Good luck with the codes.. --THIEF 22:03, December 5, 2010 (UTC)

ACTUALLY-WAZZAT- WAIT! I have another rebuttal; technically "most" new pictures I added do follow your rule.. By the "one picture per era" rule, you should also count the Modern Times, eh? eh? :P *sighs* Now I'm just being a smartass, but whatever; it's worth it.. :D. On another note; most of the random images I inserted there were extracts from the previous Featured Media pictures chosen by Zwooooosh and D. Cello, just letting you know. --THIEF 22:13, December 5, 2010 (UTC)

We MUST have pics of Altaïr. Don't matter if anyone thinks he is old or peiople are not interested, the guy is EXTREMELY improtant and he deserves a place. ;D -- D. Cello 23:09, December 5, 2010 (UTC)
Alright, I'll add some I guess. Although my recent edit only added a few new pictures (w/o Altaïr), most others were FM from before War Clown was in the staff. :P --THIEF 23:16, December 5, 2010 (UTC)
Okay, Cello. I added more pictures of Altaïr. And I agree, the guy is extremely important, but most visitors here (read: visitors, NOT editors) have only played AC2 or Brotherhood. But yeah, I agree; pal. --THIEF 23:33, December 5, 2010 (UTC)
Even better, mate! Let's show them how legenderaly awesome Altaïr was! How the hell they know Ezio and don't know his ancestor?? That's absurd! XD -- D. Cello 23:38, December 5, 2010 (UTC)
Yeah-- I know! Oh well. --THIEF 23:39, December 5, 2010 (UTC)
So, War.. you going to reply or what? --THIEF 21:16, December 6, 2010 (UTC)

Vandalism

Hi Thief, how are you? Something important I must bring to your attention that we are getting more member some of them are creating articles based on their presence of a editor, removed straight away, some will destroy perfect good articles like the Desmond page, but unfortunately there is one wiki contributor who has created a lot of pages usually beginning with something like "forum:/" and then something like Desmond or "LOL" after it. I am not sure if he is banned as of yet by any admins, but I ask that if you see those kind of "contributions" again that person needs a automatice ban. AssassinRome 10:39, December 7, 2010 (UTC)

Good thanks, yourself? Yeah, I've noticed. I've had to delete a couple of them, thanks for the tip-off. :D The guy is blocked and article is deleted, by the way; all those page creations are from different people. Weird, eh? I have to go now, see ya mate. --THIEF 10:44, December 7, 2010 (UTC)

I'm good. Thats is great news, see you soon ; ) AssassinRome 10:48, December 7, 2010 (UTC)

Yes I'm on PS3 and your answer helped. I was able to return to orginal brotherhood outfit by follwoing your steps. Thanks!

Userboxes?

Hey Thief! Master Sima Yi said I should ask you about userboxes cause your good at making them! Is there or can you make a userbox for Brotherhood? 'This user has cleared Brotherhood' like the other games.. Also I seen on Sigridtheassassin's page that she has a userbox for courtesans, is there ones like this for theives/mercenaries etc? I didn't see these on the userbox gallery.. Thanks man!Subject AMDR 14:17, December 10, 2010 (UTC)

Oh wait, it wasn't Thief, it was War Clown. Sorry, mixed them up. :) Though maybe Thief is good at making them as well. -- Master Sima Yi 14:50, December 10, 2010 (UTC)

No harm done.. thanks again! Subject AMDR 15:48, December 10, 2010 (UTC)

Picture preferences

Hey Thief. I thought I'd involve you on a couple of points I want to bring up with my fellow users.

Right, firtstly: Something that has been bugging me for a little while now is the number of pictures on this wiki that depict Ezio in a variety of different colour robes that, canonically, we don't know he ever wore. It's all well and good to assume that, since the option to dye clothes is in-game he canonically did it, but which colour, and when? The same goes for the armour. I think we need to take a good look at all the pictures on-site that depict Ezio wearing coloured robes and, if possible, replace them with similar photos showing Ezio in white robes (and if possible without armour).

My second point is the number of photos on site that, unfortunately, include some of the, for lack of a better word, "Animus glow". A prime example of what I mean can be seen in this photo, which shows Ezio's target in a white glow. Now, unless the image is being used to depict something explicitly related to the Animus, I think we should once again replace all these photos with something that does not show the Animus glow.

I know this will probably take some time, and be a large amount of work, but I do think it will be a positive contribution to the wiki, as well as a positive form of mutual interaction between the site's contributors. What do you think? --Jasca Ducato Council Chamber Assassination record 19:53, January 7, 2011 (UTC)

Well, firstly-- the robes.. these don't really bother me as they do you, but you can get an easy grasp on the timeline by looking at what pattern/colour they are-- as certain ones (such as the Forli "wetland coloured" ones unlock once you visit Forli), but for the most part it's something that really couldn't be fixed, as there are a lot of good quality images on this wiki. About the armour, that shouldn't really be a big deal-- because I'm sure that armour would be one of the first things that a player would save up for (next to weapons). I'm really tired-- so I'll use an example.
Say a bunch of images of the same mission are all submitted by different users-- it is highly likely that they all have mostly the same armour (could have a few different vanguards or something)-- due to not being able to afford the next set (not enough missions completed). Unless they're HEAVY side-mission junkies or frequent civilian pickpocketers, you shouldn't worry about that.
Okay, now the Animus glow. I don't think that is something that could be helped. You can always photoshop them out, but Animus fragments appear even when the player kills a single guard, civilian or target-- it also happens if the player runs into a wall, lol. They're in almost every cutscene-- I think we just have to live with it, I've replayed the games (especially AC2) quite a few times to get images for this wiki already.. I'm really not going to look forward to playing through again, sorry :\. You also have to keep in mind what the readers (our 52,000+ daily guests) think about our articles, do you think they notice, and for that matter, care about small things such as that? I know it breaks the realism of some images-- but it really can't be helped. Sorry, man. :(
I think the Animus fragments are improved upon in Brotherhood at least. You are free to do whatever you wish, though. It's a good idea, but it's going to be tough-- what with all the new Brotherhood articles and projects being created. Good luck. :) Thanks for consulting me, I really appreciate it.

Character infobox change discussion

Hey there, just a quick message to link you to a discussion on changes that are going to be made to our Character Infobox in the (hopefully) short future. If you could spread the word it would be greatly appreciated. --Jasca Ducato Council Chamber Assassination record 23:37, January 9, 2011 (UTC)

Page merge suggestion

Hey Thief,
I was looking at some of the stubs and there are two article stubs that I think we could merge..Acquedotto Claudia and Aqueducts. Both refer to the Aquaducts of Rome, but we would obviously show that one (Claudia) is a landmark that can be renovated and the other, is a mission/secret location. I also think we could get a picture of the map, showing the locations of the Aquaduct renovation spots, and also of the Aquaduct itself. Hopefully this'll help get rid of two stubs.. What do you think? Let me know and I will work away, Thanks Subject AMDR 12:10, January 11, 2011 (UTC)

Hi there, mate. Acquedotto Claudia deserves its own article-- as it IS a special landmark.. though what you can do is create a section for Claudia on the Aqueducts page with a small descripition and link to the article. ;) This'll atleast fit the Aqueducts article with enough infomation to not be a stub (can't say the same for Claudia yet, though I'm guessing we'll squeeze a bit more information into that article in the near future).
I'm not too sure about your second question, I guess it'll be reasonable. Unfortunatley the PC version of Brotherhood hasn't been released yet so I'm not to keen on the game yet. But if you think it's a good idea, then go ahead! This place is a community-driven wiki-- anything you think is reasonable enough to add to an article should be added, and if it's a bad move-- our kind users would contact you. :) Happy editing and thanks for contacting me, I appreciate it. --THIEF 13:43, January 11, 2011 (UTC)

As for the second part I was just making suggestions for getting more content onto Claudia's article but I'm not too good with uploading the pictures and all myself, so maybe someone else can sort it out later..
That's great, thanks for the feedback, I'll add the section and de-stub the Aqueducts article. [[Special:Contributions/87.232.59.247|Subject AMDR 14:25, January 11, 2011 (UTC)]]

Images

Thanks for adding PP to the Timeline Project, and I hope you're okay will all those duplicate messages, as I said, my internet was playing up, but I think it's fine now. Anyway, I was wondering if we're allowed to use images from wikipedia, I know we can't get them google, so I was thinking wikipedia would be the next best place, I remember seeing a tag above a page here (can't remember which one) that said it had information from wikipedia, and that we're allowed to use it under a sharing of information policy, or something like that. So does that include images? 'R BlaiddDdraig 02:12, January 14, 2011 (UTC)

If an image is on Wikipedia it is most-likely under the fair use agreement-- it should be allowed to use images from wikipedia as long as they're not personal user-created images (like fan-art, etc..). It's highly unlikely to find those type of images on Wikipedia anyway. Good luck and don't feel bad about the duplicate messages-- was kind've funny. --THIEF 05:15, January 14, 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for the help, I added a picture of the USS Eldridge to the page, but I noticed a very weird problem. I logged out while on that page, and when the page loaded again, the image was smaller. I was sure that it wasn't that small when I added it, so I logged back in to change the size, and when I logged back in, the picture was the correct size again. I repeated this to see if it happened again, and it did. Did I do something wrong when I added the image, or is it just my pc? 'R BlaiddDdraig 07:19, January 14, 2011 (UTC)
Not sure, though I think logged out users get more advertisements on articles therefore the articles seem shrunken.. I think.. I really do not know. And no worries. ;) --THIEF 08:36, January 14, 2011 (UTC)

Possible Promotion in the Future

Thief, you may have read it on my user page, you may have not. Whatever the case, the time you have to wait before you take up the position of Direttore just got shortened. As you know, the yellow light of death has struck my PS3. Without it, I can't continue my work here. If I don't get it fixed, I'll relinquish my position to you. You've proven that you're more than qualified for it. In essence, you've already taken my position. Maintained everything in shape, blocked vandals, edited and reformatted articles....Yeah, you're already there.

If Cello is willing to replace me with you as Direttore now, then I don't mind. Compared to you, I'm obsolete. --Jacques le BlancReception Area 12:02, January 14, 2011 (UTC)

War Clown, mate! ;) I'm sorry to hear about your PS3 (send it to Sony?) and this is very awesome and I appreciate it but don't give up so easily. Heck I can't even play Brotherhood just as yet and I'm still fixing spelling errors, creating articles, reformatting and everything. Common' just because you don't have access to the information doesn't mean you have to leave. How are you obsolete compared to me anyways? Cheers and good luck, mate! --THIEF 00:44, January 15, 2011 (UTC)
And even if you do step down-- you have to consider this-- who the hell is going to be Camerlengo? It was super easy for you to pick given the Istruttori's member count at the time- but whoo-ee. It's going to be tough for me.. LOL. --THIEF 00:47, January 15, 2011 (UTC)
Well, if I don't get my PS3 fixed, I'm gonna need a new one. And in my country, a new PS3 costs more than a QuadCore CPU. I don't have that kind of money (yet...) and the superiors (a.k.a Parents) aren't going to be too happy with me requesting a new PS3, especially after buying a new CPU. I'm sure they're going to want something major in return, something like Pass College first, or be the topnotcher at the exams, or get a scholarship, or rule the damn world and get a giant mansion built for us, or something else. Can you believe that? xD And about being obsolete, I take it back. I just realized...I'm awesome. >:D

Well, I was convinced that there's more to work than adding info, so I guess I'm back. I guess I kinda took back everything I said here. Sorry to disappoint you, Thief. --Jacques le BlancReception Area 02:27, January 15, 2011 (UTC)
I'm not dissapointed at all. Also, since you have a good CPU already-- why not pay a bit extra and get a decent graphics card (etc..) for your computer? You can play AC on that and probably buy or coughcoughpiratecoughcough more games.. :) --THIEF 04:19, January 15, 2011 (UTC)
I had my friend DL some games off of UTorrent already. He said the CPU can handle some of those big time games, unlike before. Games like COD4, W@W, MW2, Black Ops, Crysis, games like that. I could have him DL ACBH once it's out for PC (to get some decent images myself). Anyways, at least I have something to keep me busy :D --Jacques le BlancReception Area 05:50, January 15, 2011 (UTC)
True, but a good CPU alone isn't perfect. You need a graphics card as well. Check out this site (canurunit.com) and see if your graphics card is decent enough. :) --THIEF 05:54, January 15, 2011 (UTC)

General Templates

Hey Thief. This is totally unrelated to our previous topic, so I thought I'd post it as a message on it's own. You may have seen it, you may have not. Anyways, here it is. What you'll see here is some templates written in code. Stub, Imageneed, Revamp, and Delete. I made them as possible replacements for what we have now. What do you think of them? Maybe I've been enjoying these achievement images way too much. --Jacques le BlancReception Area 12:46, January 15, 2011 (UTC)

The Istruttori Userboxes are awesome! The general templates are quite great too; though we made most of our current templates super-thin on purpose to combat the new Oasis skin and I'm not sure how these'll look grouped up into one article. Here's an idea, though. We put general templates like those on the bottom of articles! :D Overall, pretty awesome job. If the general templates work well with the width it'll be great! (I'm loving the delete template too, hehe) --THIEF 23:36, January 15, 2011 (UTC)
Oh, you won't have to worry about them looking all squishy when grouped up. I had put in each template the <br /> thing, meaning when they're put together, there's automatically a space between them. Anyway, I had them changed now. Go check out the pages, and tell me what you think of the end results :D --Jacques le BlancReception Area 09:47, January 16, 2011 (UTC)

Success, thanks heaps, can't believe it was just about the style of the apostrophe. ’R BlaiddDdraig 04:11, January 18, 2011 (UTC)

IRC

Hey Thief, meet me on IRC I want to discuss the merit I'm gonna make. :P Rayne Message 03:17, January 18, 2011 (UTC)

I'm there. :D --THIEF 03:23, January 18, 2011 (UTC)
Am I too late or something? I don't see you on the IRC. --THIEF 03:26, January 18, 2011 (UTC)

Hey man, I just tried to join the IRC channel but it wouldn't let me, saying I have to be "invited", what the hell is that? xD It's never done that to me before. Rayne Message 06:10, January 20, 2011 (UTC)

Not sure, though Cello was changing some of the settings probably messed with it. You would've been too late anyway :D --211.27.70.62 07:05, January 20, 2011 (UTC)

Hold it for a minute

Thief. I swear its me, War Clown. Do not use the new box yet. I want it to be a surprise. That's all. I swear its me, Jacques le Blanc/Jack White/War Clown. I'll clarify the subject more when I get home.Alright? Au revoir. --110.5.71.206 05:42, January 18, 2011 (UTC)

Alright. --THIEF 05:45, January 18, 2011 (UTC)
Alright, I'm here. Now, Thief here's the cheese: We are not making any changes to any of the staff elements until everything is sorted out (I think I stated that before to someone else, somewhere around here) Once we get everything sorted out, I'll make sure everything's changed. Alright? Besides, the admins are getting their emblems personalized. So, in fairness, I'm going to allow personalization for the Direttore and the Camerlengo. What do you want for your emblem? A giant wedge of cake? Just tell me. But, if you're planning on making it yourself, just make sure you name it "Camer<name>" like "CamerThief". This is gonna play a major part at the coding, so you need to follow the format. --Jacques le BlancReception Area 10:16, January 18, 2011 (UTC)
Yesss! We get customization! W00t! Thanks, War! Is this image alright?
ThiefMerit
Cheers --THIEF 14:42, January 18, 2011 (UTC)
Uhmm...No. You can't use that. We may get personalization, but at least there's some uniformity to it. Refer to the Forum I had posted for more details regarding a staff's personalized emblem and how it's made. --Jacques le BlancReception Area 15:16, January 18, 2011 (UTC)
It's just a silhoutte of a thief, I see silhouttes of dogs and horses-- so shouldn't this carry the same symbolism, regardless of animal or not (Heck, Sima gets a silhoutte of an Anime character :D!)? What exactly do you want me to re-read on the forum? I know how they're made, unless you think this image needs a bit too much reworking, heck I'll do it myself then if you think it's too much work. Tell me what's wrong instead of being blunt to me :P. --THIEF 01:03, January 19, 2011 (UTC)
I can understand it's not as symbolic as a horse or such, but-- oh forget it. I guess I'll just start thinking of another symbol. --THIEF 02:13, January 19, 2011 (UTC)
The Carmelengo is A post, Thief, not YOUR post. It will be handed to another person when you get promoted, so I think War wants to keep things a little.. not too pesonalyzed. You can have something that reflects your believes or personality, but not your picture XD Something like that =P -- D. Cello 02:45, January 19, 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for explaining that, Cello. See, War. That's what I wanted to know (I didn't think other users would be using the same symbol, either). War, stop being so blunt to everyone (not just me, but I've noticed it a lot lately) XD Change back to how you used to be.. lol :D --THIEF 03:57, January 19, 2011 (UTC)
Wait a minute. You wanted me to crop the silhouette? I thought you wanted the whole image in your emblem. If I got this wrong, then I apologize. When I responded to your text, I was, again, half-asleep. Insomnia from this thesis BS. Well, anyways, is that what you wanted? --Jacques le BlancReception Area 10:06, January 19, 2011 (UTC)
Of course it was just the silhoutte. That grey circle and background would look stupid along with the other userboxes. XD --THIEF 10:22, January 19, 2011 (UTC)
DAMN IT! That was ignorance and stupidity, waaaay out of proportion. This thesis thing's getting to me. Well anyways, I'll work on yours and Sima's, now. Hope it turns out okay, eh? Sorry again Thief. Man, I need some coffee :| --Jacques le BlancReception Area 10:30, January 19, 2011 (UTC)
Haha, no worries. Sorry to hear about your Insomina. --THIEF 10:37, January 19, 2011 (UTC)
Eh, I'll get by. I need to adapt, elevate! I need to, If I'm ever gonna be an official admin ;D --Jacques le BlancReception Area 11:06, January 19, 2011 (UTC)
To respond what Thief said above: the Buffalo Man is NOT an Anime character! :O I hate Anime! The Buffalo Man is the band logo of Jamiroquai, one of my favorite bands. And I immediately thought of that when I was thinking about something personalized. :P -- Master Sima Yi 06:25, January 19, 2011 (UTC)
Hahaha, my bad. I just searched Buffalo Man and got an anime show XD -THIEF 07:46, January 19, 2011 (UTC)
Hell ye it's his favorite band. Sima listens to that all day XD
War, I need you on the IRC whenever you're online. Send me a message, will you? -- D. Cello 15:21, January 19, 2011 (UTC)

Signature

Hi, Thief, well my search for concept Sibrand is going bad XD Anyways I have been wanting to customize my signature for a while, I have seen you explains this to another user, but what you wrote (to my simplistic mind) makes no sense. So can you please can you send a link or something to help me, because I've reached a dead end with this, sorry for this annoying message by the way. AssassinRome 15:43, January 19, 2011 (UTC)

haha, thanks anyway! If you're completely clueless at editing signatures, then I suggest you read this and this for help! Or, I can just create one for you :D. But I'd like you to read the pages regardless just to be safe. ;) --THIEF 05:03, January 20, 2011 (UTC)

Pirate's out

Remember last night's talk? Wasn't our impression, Pirate's mind is as closed as a bottle. I demoted him, now he isn't a staff member anymore. That turned out an awesome decision (as every one I make) cause I met a guy at freenode who helped me set up a new IRC channel, a channel that right now already has 12 members online! *-* Ill be making a news post anouncig the new IRC soon, and I made this post announcing his letdown. And he didn't even wanted to say goodbye x.x Im surprised as how anti-social he turned out to be. Please spread the word for the rest of the istruttorium (and also remind ALLLL istruttori to check their forums regularly, we need to sue that more x.x) And get on to the old IRC whenever possible, please.
I would also appreciate if you went somewhere on record stating waht you witnessed during Pirate's demise event. As trustable as I am, your view proofs wasn't just my opinion. Thanks Thief. -- D. Cello 02:58, January 21, 2011 (UTC)

Mee too man, I'm dissapointed he actually frowned upon people who didn't believe in his religion. --THIEF 03:20, January 21, 2011 (UTC)

Hey Man

I Got your Message on My Talk Page

Sorry im New to Wikia's so i dont Know to much about them.

No problem! Just don't try and edit for the badges as much. :) --THIEF 02:04, January 22, 2011 (UTC)

Bugs

Hey, I saw your edit on the Bugs page, and you may have noticed that it looks much better than it did about 2-3 weeks ago, (hopefully you think it looks better) because I went through and structured it properly, fixed links, spelling, grammar, tense, deleted unnecessary bugs and merged others. I already left this message on Sima's and Rayne's talk page, but I'm not getting a reply. So seeing as you were just on the page, and you've being really helpful in the past, I was wondering if you think it's okay to remove the revamp tag? -- ’R BlaiddDdraig 02:50, January 22, 2011 (UTC)

Certainly, it looks great! Very good job! ;) --THIEF 02:57, January 22, 2011 (UTC)

Cheesecake for you!

Thief, due to the implementetion of project of yours, I now grant you a cheesecake slice! =) -- D. Cello 05:16, January 22, 2011 (UTC)

Cheers mate. ;) --THIEF 10:03, January 22, 2011 (UTC)

Il Direttore of the Istruttorium

Safety and peace, Thief. By the time you read this, I'd already be promoted to sysop. So, without further a due, I hereby name thee my rightful successor. You are now, Captain of the Staff. From this moment on, you will be the one the staff look up to. The one they follow. The one who plans parties during holidays and always gets drunk. The one who gives minimum wage and always leaves early. The one who owns a Bugatti Veryon and lives on a $500 Million Mansion...Wait, that's Kanye West. Long story short, you're the head honcho of the staff now. :D Here's the links Cello sent me on my promotion. Read them well.

What differs from Direttore and Camerlengo is, you'll be handling all of Istruttori-related matters now. Changes to the way things are, colors, staff members, formats, all is up to you now. Other than that, just keep doing what you do for the good of the wiki. I know you'll live up to your new position. And also, good luck finding a new Camerlengo. :D Congratulations once again, Thief! :D --Jacques le BlancReception Area 17:38, January 22, 2011 (UTC)

What "captain of the staff" crap is this? The staff is comprissed of Istruttori and Admins alike, and you are only head of the Istruttori, nothing else. -- D. Cello 19:04, January 22, 2011 (UTC)
Thanks a lot, War, and Cello, thank you very much! I don't need to revamp much just as yet though, War. You've pretty upgraded everything to its best. On a related note, do I have to be baldilocks? :D --THIEF 23:47, January 22, 2011 (UTC)
Sorry Cello. When I posted this, it was 1AM, and I was tired as hell. And Thief, sorry I forgot to post your Box and Header Codes. But, you already got it applied. Good :D --Jacques le BlancReception Area 02:56, January 23, 2011 (UTC)

Istruttorium

Hey Thief. Seeing as you're now in charge of the Istrutorrium, I'm obliged to let you know of a decision Cello and I made. You're going to have to remove Phantom and Zwoooooosh from the Istruttorium, 'cause they're inactive and, on those rare occasions that they are active, they don't even make use of their staff status. The Istruttorium spots could be of better use should someone else be in their place. -- Master Sima Yi 17:50, January 22, 2011 (UTC)

Yeah, I agree with you, mate. Cello's alrready stripped them of their powers I've noticed. --THIEF 23:47, January 22, 2011 (UTC)

Congrats & image requests

Hey Thief, congrats on you promotion to Direttore! Just thought I'd take this opportunity, since your head of the Istruttori now, to let you know that you have my full service should you require any high quality images. What ever you need, should you not have time to find it, chances are I can get it for you. Just leave any requests on my talk page and I'll get on it a.s.a.p! I've been working hard with Subject AMDR on the AC: B memories for most of the week and its been going well. I've got some images for AssassinRome recently too, so I would just like to extend my services to you and all other members of the Istruttori shall you need it (now that Zwoooooosh is inactive). Congrats once more, Cheers! Sick-steeN 00:15, January 23, 2011 (UTC)

Thanks, mate! I've seen your images and they are excellent. Truly good job, and I appreciate this and what you've done for this wiki. I'll talk soon, mate! --THIEF 00:18, January 23, 2011 (UTC)
Hi, Thief. Congrats, man, on your well deserved promotion to il Direttore! Like I said to War may the furture hold good fortune for you and favor you in both the wiki and reality : D AssassinRome 11:38, January 23, 2011 (UTC)
Cheers! :D --THIEF 12:44, January 23, 2011 (UTC)

The Cowl Does Not Make The Monk

There are currently two of these pages, which one do you want to stay (The Cowl Does Not Make The Monk and The Cowl Does Not Make the Monk), I'll add useful information from the two, into the one you want to keep. -- ’R BlaiddDdraig 11:46, January 23, 2011 (UTC)

War got it. -- ’R BlaiddDdraig 12:15, January 23, 2011 (UTC)

Thank you

Hi, Thief. I've just found out that you nominated me, thank you, man. It's great to know that you, the Directtore, think I'm Istruttori material. I thought it would be a while before anyone (even myself) would consider me. But I thought I had to nominate myself instead. And also I thought I needed to actually do something special, to stand out. Thank you so much. Anything you need I'll be more then happy to do my best on any task you bestow me with, Istructtori or not. Yay or Nay I'll continue my edits and do my best ; ) AssassinRome 16:26, January 23, 2011 (UTC)

It was actually a long time coming, Rome. You deserve it, and we've been discussing it since you've finished the Civil Oppressors page, and since PH got discharged. Good luck with how things turn out. I know you'll get by :D --Jacques le BlancReception Area 16:33, January 23, 2011 (UTC)
Glad you liked the Oppressors page. And with the discharge of PH, Z and Phantom there are now positions for 16, Blaidd and AMDR. AssassinRome 16:52, January 23, 2011 (UTC)
Nope. That three are still very much new. -- D. Cello 17:16, January 23, 2011 (UTC)
I'm not saying their gonna get in straight away, but there is a good chance, all them are great editors. AssassinRome 17:23, January 23, 2011 (UTC)
No worries, Rome!! :) You deserve it! I agree with you about them being great editors, and I'm keeping an eye on them. But like Cello had said. They're just a bit too new. ;) --THIEF 02:19, January 24, 2011 (UTC)

Coincidence?

Hey Thief, just noticed I'm number '16' on your friends list on your userpage! Is that on purpose or just an awesomely awsome coincidence? Ha! If so... that rocks! Sick-steeN 00:30, January 24, 2011 (UTC)

Hahahaha. ;) That's pretty funny given that I sort my friends list randomly. --THIEF 00:37, January 24, 2011 (UTC)

Eh... just noticed I'm number 15! Damn it! What a buzz kill!Ha If you add anyone else, put them above me so I will once again own that number!Ha! Cheers!Sick-steeN 00:34, January 24, 2011 (UTC)

Nope, you're 16. The person at the very top didn't have a number on the list(They had a glitched "#" symbol). I just fixed it now, you're 16.. lol. --THIEF 00:37, January 24, 2011 (UTC)

Rollback

Hey Thief (or Direttore? XD), just something I realized after you mentioned it on War's talk page - I don't think I have the rollback ability. I thought I just didn't know how to use it, but after reading the help page you linked, as well as War's description, I'm pretty sure it just isn't an option for me. Just to clarify, it's an option that should appear next to the (edit) and (undo) ones on the recent changes page, right? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks :D =GuardDog 02:46, January 24, 2011 (UTC)

Ah, crap. I guess D.Cello forgot, or Wikia stuffed you up, because he rarely forgets. I'll ask him to give you the ability again, my apologies GuardDog, I wish we had of found this out earlier. :) --THIEF 02:52, January 24, 2011 (UTC)
Thanks a lot :) I've got it now, I'll try to put it to good use =GuardDog 03:36, January 24, 2011 (UTC)
