Nobles category

Hey Bovkaffe,

Firstly, welcome to the Wiki again :) I know you're not really new, but I figured there's no harm to it. Now, I've seen you post a message on Vatsa's talkpage; he's on here occasionally, but sometimes it takes a little for him to reply (from my experience anyways, which admittedly, has been limited). Your 'nobles' category was probably removed because it was quite broad and not all that needed. I know you're a prolific category maker, but in the future, try to keep in mind whether the category is concrete enough and doesn't encompass half the universe's characters (I'm exaggerating, but you take my point?).

Alright, thanks for reading! You might want to go to Sima or Nesty (or any senior member really) for questions next time :) Crook The Constantine District 22:30, February 26, 2014 (UTC)

Privateers and Royal Navy personnel

I wanted to talk to you about this rather than having an edit war. Privateers are not Royal Navy personnel. They are effectively private contractors who are authorized by a given government to attack foreign vessels. Just like you wouldn't say that the Hessians were British soldiers, you wouldn't say that privateers are Navy personnel. Is there a reason you want to call them that?

(Also, since he's already in the privateer category, that's what you'd want to work with, not Edward's specific page.) -Molotov.cockroach (talk) 22:05, March 8, 2014 (UTC)

Request

When you're done adding the omitted details to the AC4 memories, could you also sweep through AC2 and onward? I started cleaning them up but never got far. AC1 is pretty much complete, since I made every memory page for it personally. --Kainzorus Prime Walkie-talkie 16:07, June 15, 2014 (UTC)

Rhona Dinsmore in novel?

'ello Bovkaffe,

So on Rhona's page, it said she appeared in the Assassin's Creed Black Flag novel and when I checked, I saw it was you that added that bit of information. If that's so, to what extent does she appear? Like, is the topic of the Templar Hunt brought up or is it just the brief moment in 1722 where she's given the Crystal Skull to safekeep? Is any new information given on her? And for that matter, do any of the other Master Assassins (Opia, Anto, Upton and Vance) make an appearance? Sorry, I'm just curious :p Crook The Constantine District 00:45, June 27, 2014 (UTC)

She only appears when Edward is tracking Torres. And there's no new information about her, sadly. Antó is never mentioned by name, and he doesn't speak either. Opía, Vance and Upton don't appear, since the Templar hunts are omitted.Bovkaffe (talk) 08:07, June 27, 2014 (UTC)

A Single Madman Dialogue

Hey Bovkaffe, it's me again. So I added some dialogue that was missing to the A Single Madman mission, but I couldn't for the life of me hear the lines you included for du Casse. I've replayed the mission several times now but I can't seem to trigger them :s Do you remember in what situation du Casse says this:

What's happening there? See that the cargo is secure! Move your ass and do your job, (son of a bitch!)

Cause I don't know how to make him say it :P I just wanted to double-check and see if that dialogue is actually correct. Thanks for reading, get back to me when you can :) Crook The Constantine District 18:39, June 30, 2014 (UTC)

Really? Well, he says it when you're approaching him on El arca del Maestro.Bovkaffe (talk) 18:42, June 30, 2014 (UTC)

Bizarre, I've not heard him say that ever, I don't think :s Is it before you enter the yellow bubble/circle? Do you need to approach from water or from land? (sorry if the questions seem silly) Crook The Constantine District 18:49, June 30, 2014 (UTC)
Not sure. I just checked a walkthrough on youtube, and you can hear Julien. I think he starts talking once you've spotted him (you know, eagle vision).Bovkaffe (talk) 19:06, June 30, 2014 (UTC)

Some things.

Ben Hornigold and Ed Thatch both received Letters of Marque from the British monarch Queen Anne, permissing them to attack and plunder ships belonging to rival navies, before the Treaty of Utrecht came into effect. By extension, as royal privateers of the British Crown, they can be considered under the Royal Navy.

Also, I am a little confused why a category denoting dukes, a masculine term, is used upon Charlotte d'Albret, even though she was Cesare's wife. Would it not make more sense to perhaps alter it to "Duchy of Urbino", despite a duchy being the lands held by a duke or duchess? Slate Vesper (talk) 00:07, July 9, 2014 (UTC)

The reason I was unsure about Thatch and Hornigold was that Molotov.Cockroach made a good point about Privateers(further up the page). Regarding Urbino; I created that cat because Sima had categorized several pages as such. I wouldn't have a problem with a name change.Bovkaffe (talk) 13:38, July 9, 2014 (UTC)

Edward Kenway

You seem to undid my edit on the page without leaving a reason in your edit summary. So can I ask why? ---TacticalMaster (talk) 22:41, July 17, 2014 (UTC)

I had meant to, but Í'm not sure what happened, and I had already undone your edit. The reason was that optional objectives mean full synchronization. The way the ancestor did it.Bovkaffe (talk) 08:54, July 18, 2014 (UTC)

The optional objectives are merely just extra mission goals and although it means "how the ancestor did it," the main focus on his background is on the game's story and not on gameplay itself. That's why I made that edit to remove it until you undid it. ---TacticalMaster (talk) 09:12, July 18, 2014 (UTC)
The game's story and gameplay will inevitably overlap. Full synchronization also allows one to be far more specific when writing articles.Bovkaffe (talk) 09:21, July 18, 2014 (UTC)
Fine. Whatever. All I'm saying is that gameplay is unimportant for a character's background but it's unclear how does that line I attempted to remove make sense with the main story, as it's just only registered as "side objective." ---TacticalMaster (talk) 10:10, July 18, 2014 (UTC)
Because it further explains what happened and it also shows Edward's lack of interest and ambition. Like I said before, it elaborates on what happened.Bovkaffe (talk) 10:15, July 18, 2014 (UTC)

Trevor

Hey Bovkaffe, where does it mention the slaver's name as Trevor in the memory A Slaver's Business? From what I can see, there is no mention of "Trevor" in the dialogue. Slate Vesper (talk) 21:19, July 18, 2014 (UTC)

If he escapes on his ship, and you then board it, the objectives list says "Kill Captain Trevor".Bovkaffe (talk) 09:02, July 19, 2014 (UTC)

Orelov

I'm sorry, I'm not trying to start an undo war with you, but I think Orelov should be in a category that reflects his betrayal, even if he did not join the Templars. In addition, the category clearly specifies that the individuals whom are referenced in it deserted the Brotherhood and that some of them have joined the Templars, but not all.Maxattac (talk) 22:36, August 5, 2014 (UTC)

Inner Sanctum

Italics maybe did work, but wouldn't you think that the templar emblem would increse that list's readability? - Sligneris (talk) 11:42, August 8, 2014 (UTC)

Not really. I just think the list looks better with italics, rather than an emblem for every Templar.Bovkaffe (talk) 11:48, August 8, 2014 (UTC)

There are also Templars working at Abstergo who are not members of the Inner Sanctum. Kind of odd to not include a Templar insignia for them. -- Master Sima Yi Talk 18:14, August 8, 2014 (UTC)

Triple agent

"A triple agent pretends to be a double agent for one side, while he or she is truly a double agent for the other side." - from Wikipedia

Lucy never pretended to be the double agent for Assassins - just an agent, since the Templars decided to pretend they didn't know of her background.

First, she started out as an Assassin agent in Abstergo, simple as that. When her allegiance shifted, she became a double agent for Templars - pretending to Assassins she was an agent for them.

She would be a triple agent, if she was loyal to Assassins and ultimately deceived the Templars, but that wasn't the case. - Sligneris (talk) 20:22, August 8, 2014 (UTC)

Haytham arrival in America

Hey Bovkaffe,

So, I don't remember when, but I think you posted a comment on one of the blogs, saying the Rogue demos were taking place in May 1754, right? And you said that Haytham wouldn't have been in the colonies yet at that point. I was looking at Haytham's article, but it doesn't say what month he arrived :s Could you get back to me on this? If it's true, we should try and contact the developers behind Rogue so they can fix it (I'm not even sure if that's possible but I figure it's worth a shot). Crook The Constantine District 16:57, August 17, 2014 (UTC)

It's said so in Forsaken. But for some reason, Initiates claims that it was even later.--Bovkaffe (talk) 17:07, August 17, 2014 (UTC)

Alright, I just checked up on the Welcome to Boston memory (which I should've done earlier tbh), which says he arrived on the 8th of July. Is that date from Forsaken or Initiates? And when does Haytham arrive according to Initiates? Crook The Constantine District 17:11, August 17, 2014 (UTC)

That date is from Forsaken. Initiates doesn't say anything about it, but it claims that he was still on the Providence on the 14th July.

Fantastic >.< You'd think they'd keep track of something like that. So all we know from Initiates is that Haytham supposedly arrives place after the 14th of July? Crook The Constantine District 17:29, August 17, 2014 (UTC)

Yeah, and that he killed Louis Mills on 14th of July.--Bovkaffe (talk) 17:31, August 17, 2014 (UTC)

What? Mills' page says he died in late May D: I assume that date is also from Forsaken?

Chiyome

Since Chiyome's birth and death dates are very debatable, where'd you get them from? -- Master Sima Yi Talk 23:09, August 30, 2014 (UTC)

Several sources claim that she was born around 1540, and that she is mentioned from 1540 to 1582.--Bovkaffe (talk) 23:12, August 30, 2014 (UTC)

I'm gonna have to say that there are more sources who claim her dates of birth and death are unknown, and there are just as many who say she died in 1580 as she did in 1582. -- Master Sima Yi Talk 23:14, August 30, 2014 (UTC)

Images 2.0

Since when? I would assume since the image policy's inception. We don't add images for the sake of adding images. Also, Commons Wikimedia is not a viable source for images. Stormbeast The Helpful Place 16:42, August 31, 2014 (UTC)

I'm simply adding those images to the articles because they're tiny, and they also provide info on the characters. As for the Wikimedia images, I've only used images that were practically identical to the ones used in Assassin's Creed media.--Bovkaffe (talk) 16:47, August 31, 2014 (UTC)

I don't find "because they're tiny" a very compelling argument :/ Those treasures recovered by Alonzo are not very useful in illustrating an article on an individual. If there's important information on the invidivual in the treasures' description, that should be added the article though. But I don't see much use in adding an item of the indivual to the gallery. It's not like we'd add the image of Jeanne's locket to Aveline's gallery or the image of the Assassin tomahawk to Connor's article. Crook The Constantine District 16:55, August 31, 2014 (UTC)

Alright, fair point. But the golden tooth should remain on the l'Olonnais' page, since it's a part of him. I also think a lot of the images would be useful for the Aztec and Maya pages, probably in gallery pages.--Bovkaffe (talk) 16:58, August 31, 2014 (UTC)

Thanks

Thanks for seeing eye-to-eye with me back there and undoing your edits (seriously, that takes some commitment), though I probably could have simply reverted them and minimised the hassle. Borgia captains

Does one of the books, or the Encyclopedia, say when all of them died? Or is this another database entry I forgot to read? Stormbeast The Helpful Place 22:55, September 26, 2014 (UTC)

This is judging by the availability of the areas in the game.--Bovkaffe (talk) 22:56, September 26, 2014 (UTC)

So...you're speculating that some were killed in 1500, when they could have been killed anytime between 1500 and 1503. Stormbeast The Helpful Place 23:00, September 26, 2014 (UTC)
Sima came up with it. It's based on the fact that those areas weren't available until a certain point in genetic memory.--Bovkaffe (talk) 23:02, September 26, 2014 (UTC)
I'm talking about the early ones. The only one we know Ezio killed on a specific date, as far as in-game, is Iacopo de Grassi. Stormbeast The Helpful Place 23:06, September 26, 2014 (UTC)
You can kill those as soon as you've arrived in Rome. So they're unlocked then.--Bovkaffe (talk) 23:10, September 26, 2014 (UTC)
Not all of them. At least three or four towers are inaccessible until later sequences. --Kainzorus Prime Walkie-talkie 23:55, September 26, 2014 (UTC)
Yeah, I know, that's what i was saying before.--Bovkaffe (talk) 23:58, September 26, 2014 (UTC)

I'm willing to support Bovkaffe here. It's not inconceivable that Ezio would kill the Borgia Captains as soon as he could. --Crimson Knight Intercom 23:11, September 26, 2014 (UTC)

Braddock as Templar turncoat

Forgive me for being sceptical, but what you're saying is not made obvious in the article. Just because Braddock acts against Haytham does not mean the former has betrayed the Templar Order - seems more like a vendetta against Haytham than anything else. Besides, he still wore his Templar Ring. Is that not proof that he considered himself a Templar still?

As I have not read Forsaken, this is all I know. Please elaborate on what Haytham has to say on Braddock in it, cause without any strong arguments, I'm disinclined to believe you. Is it ever explicitly said that Braddock left the Templars? That should be the main criteria of categorizing somebody as a "Templar turncoat" (even if I'd still prefer it if the term was used exclusively for those that betrayed the Templars and joined the Assassins). We should also consider that Forsaken is written from Haytham's point of view; he might be biased. Crook The Constantine District 21:47, September 27, 2014 (UTC)

[1] It says here: A Templar, Slater, like your boss. He sneered. Your lot have no attraction for General Braddock any more. Just as I’d suspected. That was why he’d been trying to sabotage my efforts to recruit a team for Reginald’s mission. Braddock had turned against us.--Bovkaffe (talk) 22:10, September 27, 2014 (UTC)

Very well; would you mind adding this to the article more explicitly so that such future confusion can be avoided? Crook The Constantine District 22:15, September 27, 2014 (UTC)

Before I revert several of your edits involving adding Rogue to multiple pages, I'll ask you here what your source is. If it comes from leaked footage, it will be reverted. Stormbeast The Helpful Place 20:38, November 6, 2014 (UTC)

What do you mean "we don't do that"?--Bovkaffe (talk) 21:24, November 6, 2014 (UTC)

I would have hoped my first message got the point across. We do not post leaked material. You can wait the 5 days for Rogue and Unity to officially come out. Continue to do so, and you will receive an official warning. Stormbeast The Helpful Place 21:25, November 6, 2014 (UTC)
On one hand, I get it, we can't source it if it's not publicly available yet. On the other hand, it will be in what, five days? And nothing will change in that time, voice actors aren't suddenly gonna switch or something. But do as you please, you two. --Kainzorus Prime Walkie-talkie 21:26, November 6, 2014 (UTC)

Was it from the game, or was it taken from a site?--Bovkaffe (talk) 16:39, November 24, 2014 (UTC)

Napoleon screenshot is from the game, the rest Juraj has uploaded are promotional ones, so they can't be sourced with Assassin's Creed: Unity.
Juraj, every image you upload has a description. Images need a source if they are to be used on the Wikia. To properly source an image, use the information template. Reverted edit to Palais de Versailles

I've reverted your edit on the Palais de Versailles article. Whilst you are correct that this is not a French language wiki, this wiki uses the in-game Database names when referring to landmarks. In this case, the Database entry is under "Palais de Versailles". See Category:Landmarks in Rome, Category:Landmarks in Constantinople etc. for further examples. --Jasca Ducato (talk | contributions) 15:47, December 23, 2014 (UTC)

Since when was this a policy? Just because pages made years ago were named in that manner, doesn't mean it applies to all other pages. For instance, in Brotherhood, the Colosseum is referred to as Il Colosseo, but it's also referred to simply as the Colosseum. Besides, not even the database is consistent. In Revelations it interchangeably uses native and English names.--Bovkaffe (talk) 16:04, December 23, 2014 (UTC)

This has been our policy for several years now. A database may use names interchangeably, and in such cases our articles reflect that. If the Colosseum article uses the English name, that will be because it's database entry in Brotherhood does so. The only occasion wherein we do not necessarily follow the databases is city names (such as Venice, Florence etc.) I will be moving the article back once more. If you wish to challenge our policy, please do so in the forums. --Jasca Ducato (talk | contributions) 18:35, December 24, 2014 (UTC)

Hey Bov,

Just a small question: are the old Initiates database entries still available to be viewed somewhere? The game shows us that there are five seats on the council, in the sequence Bellec take the empty one, the fact that he do not wear the same mantle can easily be explained by the fact that he was the one waiting for Arno outside of the chamber. In the game he is also one of the leading figure of the French Brotherhood so nothing contradict his membership to the council. Image uploads

Hey Bov,

I assume you have read my edit summary by now, but just in case: when Initiates makes it own art to illustrate database entries, feel free to upload and add it. If Initiates uses existing concept art, we should make sure adding the image has informative value. I don't consider a concept art of a character slapped over another concept art as background very useful, especially when the character concept itself is already in the gallery.

Also, if you can, double-check whether the image doesn't already exist on the wiki without the Initiates watermark over it - now, I realize that's probably asking a bit much, so you can rely on me for that most of the time. I've spent some time looking for Assassin's Creed concept art, so I know some of the regulars, as well as their watermarks (for example, if you see a 'D' somewhere on the concept, it's Martin Deschambault's work - D.Y. is Donglu Yu, and so on). It means some of your uploads will be deleted though, as they'll be duplicates we don't really have any use for.

Finally, SirGareth on the IRC has taught me about licensing, so it's important you know this as well for image sourcing. It's really easy, cause the only type of licensing that accurately describes our 'use' of the image is the {{Permission}} template. The credit belongs to Ubisoft, but we're using the image in a descriptive way, for commentary, without claiming ownership. The CC-by-sa-3.0 is about material that has been explicitly established as 'Creative Commons'; none of Ubisoft's material falls under this, as far as I'm aware. Public Domain is for when copyright expires, which I doubt it ever will in Ubisoft's case.

Alright, that will be all; thanks for reading :) Crook The Constantine District 22:35, March 6, 2015 (UTC)

Also, the French wiki isn't a good source, really. The image doesn't come from them, just like an imagine uploaded here generally wasn't "made" by us. Heya. I would like to point out that the discussion and community vote from a while back regarding native names and English translations only reached a concensus on landmarks, which was the issue at hand, not everything else. -- Master Sima Yi Talk 15:37, March 20, 2015 (UTC)

I know, but Columbus is referred to by that name in some instances in AC, which sounds better than calling him "Corombo" everywhere.--Bovkaffe (talk) 15:40, March 20, 2015 (UTC)

Hey Bov
I'm here to reignite this discussion; basically, Sima, Dark, Nesty and I had a big ol' chat in the IRC about how the wiki has been using character's native names, rather than their anglicized version for quite some time. We don't really see a reason to change that approach, so we were hoping you could adapt the names of articles you've changed and new articles you've created (at the moment the naming's a bit inconsistent).
If you feel it's better to use the anglicized version, then we're totally open to discussion and stuff. The IRC might be better suited to that stuff than a talkpage, actually. Whichever works for you.
'Aight, thanks for reading :) Crook The Constantine District 21:59, June 29, 2015 (UTC)

I don't mind deviating from the approach as long as community consensus is reached and it will be put clearly in the guidelines. We can do this via a forum. -- Master Sima Yi Talk 22:32, June 29, 2015 (UTC)

No title

Alright Messere Bovkaffe,

Can I ask why are you removing my edit from Villa Auditore. What I write or edit I do it for a reason. I hate to quarell. Especially with my superior.

Assassin Abdullah (talk) 17:47, March 25, 2015 (UTC)

Allow me to answer that. He undid your edits because, as he mentioned in the edit summaries, Ezio's room wasn't at the second floor of the villa in Brotherhood. It was at the top floor like it was in the second game; you can check it out. Additionally, nobody is superior to anyone here. -- Master Sima Yi Talk 17:53, March 25, 2015 (UTC)

Francis Cotton

Hey Mate,

Saw your comment on Francis Cotton & have an answer for you

Basically there is a scene in the novel where Cotton exclaims that Arbaaz Mir's hidden blade could add to his collection of them, insinuating that like some other figures in AC lore he collects them as trophies of those assassins he has killed.

101.187.194.203 08:23, April 5, 2015 (UTC)Qulan

Cotton's exact quote would be "A pity. I was rather looking forward to adding a new hidden blade to my collection."
Hope that clears it up for you, Bov :) Crook The Constantine District 08:47, April 5, 2015 (UTC)
Yeah, thanks.--Bovkaffe (talk) 17:38, April 5, 2015 (UTC)

Arm the People & "Escort" Mission

Hey, Bov

Quick question: do you know if the "Escort" Mission memory is available to be played immediately, or if it can only be played after the Arm the People memory has been completed? I'd assumed the latter, so that's why I only brought up the "women's militia" bit in Théroigne's article later. Crook The Constantine District 14:59, May 1, 2015 (UTC)

I got the women's militia part from here. As for the missions, I don't know.--Bovkaffe (talk) 15:02, May 1, 2015 (UTC)

I've checked; completing Arm the People is necessary to unlock "Escort" Mission. Will adjust Théroigne's biography accordingly. Crook The Constantine District 15:10, May 1, 2015 (UTC)

De Sable/De Sablé

I've had this discussion before, so please read the relevant exchange on Jasca's talkpage. I disagree with naming the page "Robert de Sablé" because it is unnecessarily confusing, especially since there's no clarification whatsoever in the Trivia section. I'll be awaiting your response. Crook The Constantine District 18:50, June 14, 2015 (UTC)

I don't want to start a discussion about it either, but since he ruled over Sablé-sur-Sarthe, it only seems logical that Ubisoft forgot or didn't bother with the accent, as they've done on other occasions. It's not that it really matters to me, though. It is just an accent, after all.--Bovkaffe (talk) 19:00, June 14, 2015 (UTC)

I know that De Sablé has no accent in the first Assassin's Creed game, but for what it's worth, he's based on a historic character who happens to have an accent in their name. Since the games follow history for their characters and settings, it could simply be that the first iteration of the Anvil engine didn't have special characters such as accents. I say let's keep it as De Sablé, since that's the historical character's name, and to squabble over whether to include it simply over an accent because it's not there in the game is a bit pedantic. Great white shark

Sorry, man, I legitimately cannot tell the difference. I just assumed the great whites were the sharks you encountered underwater - are those bull sharks then? I don't know my shark anatomy >.< Crook The Constantine District 15:45, June 23, 2015 (UTC)

I think the great whites look a bit more "rough" in the game, in contrast to the more sleek bull sharks.--Bovkaffe (talk) 15:52, June 23, 2015 (UTC)

Okay, I guess I'll transpose the image and trivia bit to the Bull Sharks article then. Crook The Constantine District 15:58, June 23, 2015 (UTC)

Toussaint

Tell me Swede.

What is more important to be known as a slave owner or to be known as white.

By describing those dead as "white" it gives the perception that this revoultuion was based on race. But In fact it was a revolt for freedom. So tell me Swede where those "whites" killed for being white or killed for being slave owners.

I smell the scent of victimization, I thought the quote of the day was "what does race have to do with anything?"

And so Swede, what does the slave owners being white have to do with anything. They were killed for being oppressive, not for being white. Unless Swede we are to beleive that those things go hand in hand.

You are talking about the 1804 Haitian Massacre.

Which happened after the declration of independence. That is a seperate issue. The slave revolt was about freedom. The mssacre was about one man's mistrust of whites. That is seperate and apart from the slave revolt. That is why I keep changing the edits.

You are trying to make a poltical situtaion out of one that need not be. If you want to write a wiki ont eh 1804 Massacre then lets note and log all the whites killed. But in the slave rebellion that is a war between master and slave not black and white

But as I promised another I will let you revistnist do what you will-don't want to miss a chance to be a victim

I'm not trying to be a "victim". The fact remains that it wasn't just slave owners who were killed, but the entire remaining white population of Haiti, including women and children. Just because I'm noting what Dessalines ordered, that doesn't mean I'm saying that the revolution wasn't about ending oppression. Because it was.--Bovkaffe (talk) 18:31, July 1, 2015 (UTC)

Who?

Which Assassins have been called Grand Master in the series?Abelzorus Prime (talk) 23:28, July 1, 2015 (UTC)

Altaïr (and others, as I recall) is referred to as Grand Master of the Assassin Order in the encyclopdia. Also, a description of a Mediterranean Defense mission refers to Mujir as an Assassin Grand Master.--Bovkaffe (talk) 23:31, July 1, 2015 (UTC)
So where does the rank of Grand Master positioned in the Assassin Order? Is it the same as Mentor? Are you   sure Altair (and others) where called Grand Masters? Abelzorus Prime (talk) 23:37, July 1, 2015 (UTC)
Presumably the same as Mentor. At this point, I don't think we know. As for Altaïr, he is definitely called Master of the Assassins in both the encyclopedia and The Secret Crusade.--Bovkaffe (talk) 23:47, July 1, 2015 (UTC)
It might say Altair was Master of the Assassins but does it say he was a Grand Master? Abelzorus Prime (talk) 23:52, July 1, 2015 (UTC)

Bernard Ruddock

Hi ! In the Unity novel in french version, to the end of the book, it's a page with a list of all protagonists of the novel and the rogue Assassin is named "Bernard Ruddock".

Linkpogo, Pater Intellectus 22:21, July 10, 2015 (UTC)

Hey, Link!
I found an online version in English that includes the list of characters in the novel. However, he's simply referred to as "Ruddock" in said list; could the French version have added the name 'Bernard' by mistake? There's a character called Bernard in the list as well, but that's not Ruddock. Crook The Constantine District 22:35, July 10, 2015 (UTC)

I will re-verify when I can and I told you soon !

Red Ghost of the Tuileries

Hey, Bov

I would have assumed the "Red Ghost of the Tuileries" was at the Tuileries Palace, not the Luxembourg Palace? Was any of the suspects located at the Luxembourg Palace or something? That seems a long way away though, consider the Tuileries is all the way up north-west in Paris, while Luxembourg Palace is in the south. Crook The Constantine District 20:26, July 16, 2015 (UTC)

Sorry, my bad. Got the two mixed up in my head. About Rouille's interrogation in The Jacobin Club. I never really got what it was about. Do you know?--Bovkaffe (talk) 20:29, July 16, 2015 (UTC)

I don't :s Perhaps try Sima? I understand the scene was partially to cement Rouille as this douchebag, but I'm not sure what information he was actually trying to procure. It might have had something to do with Marie Levesque's plan to store grain somewhere? I wish there was a writer we could bug about this. Crook The Constantine District 20:35, July 16, 2015 (UTC)
That might make sense. Still not sure, though. Afterwards, he reports to Germain about how King Louis is playing both sides of the revolution.--Bovkaffe (talk) 20:38, July 16, 2015 (UTC)

Hoarders

Hey Bov

I was hoping you could help me out on this little thing; I'm abroad now so I can't replay the memory "Hoarders" in Unity, but I know there's a bit of dialogue missing from the transcription. It's during the scene where Marie Lévesque does her little speech. If you walk around you can hear the guests speaking about a few things - some of it is in the article, but it's not complete. Do you have time to transcribe the remaining dialogue?

Thanks for reading. Crook The Constantine District 14:32, July 19, 2015 (UTC)

Unfortunately not. I don't have Unity, so I've had to scour YouTube for the dialogue, and I haven't been able to find all of it.--Bovkaffe (talk) 14:40, July 19, 2015 (UTC)
Oh I see. Alright, it will have to wait till I get back then. Thanks anyways! Crook The Constantine District 14:41, July 19, 2015 (UTC)

About the EH Era Icon

Hi!

I see you kinda like a "supervisor" of the edits, so i would like to know i we should add the EH Era Icon to every characters' page, i mean, in EH, a lot of characters are mentioned, for example, one page of the EH is dedicated to the best Grand Masters (Haytham, De Sablé, Borgia) so, should we add their pages the EH Era Icon? Thanks for reading DipsonDP (talk) 05:35, July 25, 2015 (UTC)

I don't have an official position as that, but yeah, I do that a lot. I'm not entirely sure I'm the right person to ask about the icons, though. It depends on how much they're mentioned (I assume they only appear in those biased Abstergo products?)--Bovkaffe (talk) 05:44, July 25, 2015 (UTC)

I would advise against that. Limiting the EH icons to those characters that exclusively appear in the Handbook (e.g. Robert Fraser, Victoria Bibeau, Percy Westcreek) and those that have like a page dedicated to them (e.g. Marie Antoinette, Mirabeau, Marquis de Sade) seems like a more practical idea. Haytham and Robert de Sablé are only name-dropped once or twice without any significant "new" information about them, so I wouldn't see the use in adding the EH Era icon to them - it would be like adding the Initiates Era icon to every character that appeared in an Initiates memory. Stick to the ones that the EH tells us something new about. Crook The Constantine District 06:15, July 25, 2015 (UTC)

Gang or Syndicate

Has Ubisoft ever referred to the Rooks as syndicate? I know it's the title of the game but that doesn't mean they are a syndicate. Abelzorus Prime (talk) 16:40, August 6, 2015 (UTC)

When they first announced the game, they spoke of how the working classes formed syndicates. And since it's the title of the game, it wouldn't make sense if they weren't a syndicate. Also, sign your posts, please.--Bovkaffe (talk) 16:35, August 6, 2015 (UTC)

I've always heard them refer to the Rooks as a gang but my memory is not that good do have a link or refer me to a specific video? They could of just called the game syndicate because Assassin's Creed Syndicate sounds better than Assassin's Creed Gangs. Abelzorus Prime (talk) 16:40, August 6, 2015 (UTC)

Our wiki page for the game has a short film called "The Syndicate" in which Jacob recounts the Rooks committing various heists, much like an organized crime syndicate.--Bovkaffe (talk) 16:48, August 6, 2015 (UTC)

Are you sure "The Syndicate" is canon? In the video all I saw was evidence of the rooks being a gang not a syndicate. I also always hear the developers refer to the Rooks as a gang not a syndicate. Maybe the Rooks are part of a syndicate but I'm pretty sure they are just a gang Abelzorus Prime (talk) 17:15, August 6, 2015 (UTC)

Hey Bov,

Not that I doubt you, but why the change on Kesegowaase and other pages from "Abenaki" to the other thing? Crook The Constantine District 14:38, August 10, 2015 (UTC)

I realized that the Wolastoqiyik are not actually part of the Abenaki. Both tribes are part of the Wabanaki Confederacy.--Bovkaffe (talk) 14:40, August 10, 2015 (UTC)
Ah, okay. By the way, do you have all the Project Widow info unlocked? I almost feel like we should preserve it, seeing as Ubisoft likes to delete these projects. Crook The Constantine District 14:43, August 10, 2015 (UTC)

Invalides Concept Art

Do you know where in Les Invalides that that concept art is? I thought it was the Panthéon's interior, and I don't always want to go with the image's title, cause the title can be wrong (especially if I'm the uploader lol). Thanks for reading. Crook The Constantine District 10:34, August 15, 2015 (UTC)

It's the main building for Les Invalides (the Hôtel des Invalides), the one with the large dome.--Bovkaffe (talk) 10:37, August 15, 2015 (UTC)

Oooh, okay, my bad. I am not familiar with the Invalides area at all ^^; Crook The Constantine District 10:53, August 15, 2015 (UTC)

ACU Template

Hey, Bov, I'm curious why you removed people like Marie Tussaud from the ACU Template. Surely they're more noteworthy than those two thugs Victor and Hugo? Or is there something I'm missing?

Thanks for reading. Crook The Constantine District 10:54, August 21, 2015 (UTC)

It's mostly to keep the template from growing too large. After all, Tussaud only appears in two Paris Stories.--Bovkaffe (talk) 12:35, August 21, 2015 (UTC)

Was Stalin already influenced by Templars before he succeded Lenin?

And I don't think that "puppet" is a good word neutral enough to describe a Templar affiliated individual. If I am right,I would like to see the "Communism" page edited.Sleeplust (talk) 12:30, August 22, 2015 (UTC)

Fair enough, we don't know about the first part. Ultimately however, we don't know how he was affiliated with the Templars. If you check the Voronina journal, you'll see that he may have been a Templar, but he can't be confirmed as anything more than a puppet.--Bovkaffe (talk) 12:34, August 22, 2015 (UTC)
I always found the story that on his deathbed Lenin called Stalin a traitor interest. I don't know if it's accurate but I figure that could blend in well somehow into the AC narrative. -- Master Sima Yi Talk 12:42, August 22, 2015 (UTC)

Seine

Hi, i've seen your changes in "Seine". I'm a bit suprised you removed the additional pictures as well as some important information. The fact, the French Assassins headquarter is on a Seine island is important. The page should, with some work, one day look like Tiber for example. I would like to help, but honestly i think it's better to continue my work in the German AC Wiki. Best regards, GrandTheftAndi (talk) 15:35, September 29, 2015 (UTC)
