The Teaser 30th April, 2011[]

On the 30th April 2011, after an initial "slip" about the next Assassin's Creed installment - Assassin's Creed: Revelations, Ubisoft began to tease fans of the series via their official Assassin's Creed facebook page. The post also provided a link to an internal flash page, containing cryptic clues about the next Assassin's Creed game. An interesting loading screen could be seen primarily, then leading on to a blurred image which was interrupted with Arabic text every so often. The text could be deciphered to read: "Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad", the original protagonist of the franchise. The flash image was accompanied by an "activity monitor" which required a 100% fill before a reveal could happen. The activity monitor could (and still can) be filled by "liking" and "sharing" the reveal on facebook, tweeting about it on Twitter (#ACReveal) or e-mailing it.

For those of you who are not on facebook, here is the link to the external flash page! So you can keep an eye on any developments with out having to access facebook! (The Activity monitor will remain frozen, but the image is always current)

Phase one of the reveal was accomplished on 2nd May, 2011. The left portion of the blurring effect was removed to reveal Masyaf castle (as seen in the concept art I have attached) and what looks like Altaïr's arm. Also a Phaistos disc (some have said of Greek origin) flashed on screen every so often. The activity monitor was reset to 0%, giving participants the first indication that it would be a step by step reveal. Each time that 100% was reached, new hints would be released.

Phase 2 - Reveal 3rd May, 2011[]

Phase two of the reveal was accomplished on 3rd May, 2011. The left portion of the blurring effect was re-applied and the right was removed to reveal Hagia Sophia, the "Church of Holy Wisdom" in Constantinople, (modern day Istanbul) Turkey, hinting at one possible setting for the game. The seal of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent, the tenth and longest-reigning Sultan of the Ottoman Empire, from 1520 to his death in 1566, flashed on screen along with the date. The date was 24th June, 1459 - Presumed to be the birth date of Ezio Auditore.

Phase 3 - Reveal 4th May, 2011[]

Phase three of the reveal was accomplished on 3rd May, 2011. The right portion of the blurring effect was re-applied and the left was once again removed to reveal a figure similar that of Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad, further fueling speculation of the Syrian assassin's return. A double headed eagle, specifically this version was used by the Byzantine Empire as their coat of arms, flashed on screen as well as another date - 11th January 1165AD - possibly Altaïr's birth date. The appearance of the "double headed eagle" and the birth dates of both Altaïr and Ezio may be a possible indication that both protagonists make an appearance in the next installment.

"Hello once again audience!" XD So fellow staff member, Assassin-Rayne, has informed me of an article containing some more info about Revelations. Well, maybe not more info - but at least some clarification on details that we may have been pondering about.

  • The return of some Lairs of Romulus style memories, based on an "undisclosed historical figure".

So click the link above, have a read for yourselves and let us know what you think in the comments. I will keep you all posted on future developments. Cheers peeps!

P.S: For those of you who have not already had a look at Game Informer's interview with Assassin's Creed: Revelations "Live Team" producer, Andréane Meunier, detailing info about new multiplayer features, do so now

Behind the scenes 12th May, 2011[]

Hey guys, an interesting piece of news for you all today... something a little different, and actually quite refreshing. Game Informer has posted a series of video interviews with Revelations' creative director Alexandre Amancio. The three videos accumulate to over twenty minutes of extremely interesting and insightful footage as to how the AC machine ticks over. So, I will say no more and let the dude speak for himself. Enjoy peeps!

Back To The Present 16th May, 2011[]

Hey guys, my apologies for my lack of presence here the last week, I have an art exhibition I'm prepping for so I'm mega busy. Anyway... back to Revelations news, many have you have already linked to this info already, so kudos for that, I'm just posting it here for easy access. So Game Informer has posted a new article, posted May 13th, that delves into the mystery that is Desmond. His role as the series protagonist, his past life and his current mental health are all discussed in the article. So to avoid repeating what is already available... go assassins...seek the truth for yourselves! Cheers!

P.S: Game Informer used my image!!! XD Go to the second page of the article and pay close attention to that pic of Desmond being confronted by Vidic and two Abstergo guards, yup that one's mine! Go to this article... now scroll down and find the same image that I have added to the wiki. Now use your eyeballs to locate the slight alteration I have made to the image (I do it to every image I add, to establish that it's mine). Now look to the right hand side of the pic, to that red wall section. Do you see it? That slight uncharacteristic wobble? I purposefully added that. So yup, you're welcome G.I, I will take my awesome award now, Thank you! XD
