Despite former statements by Ubisoft that 2012 will mark the end of the Assassin's Creed trilogy, Assassin's Creed III is now most likely planned for release in 2011.

At least, that is if former Ubisoft employee Nicolas Collings' resume is to be trusted. The resume showed that Collings did some texture work on Assassin's Creed III, wich is currently "in-production", but Collings removed it recently. The cached version of the page still shows his full resume.

Ubisoft formerly stated that Assassin's Creed III was planned for release in 2012. After the release of 2010's Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, Geoffery Sardin, Ubisoft's EMEA chief of marketing, confirmed that a new Assassin's Creed game was planned for 2011. He went on to hint at possible settings for the new game, saying "If you've read the comic books you will see that we took Assassin's Creed to the USSR, or Caesar's Rome – that's a good example of what we could do in the coming years in the next video games."

Details for the upcoming AC game, which now most likely seems to be Assassin's Creed III, will be revealed in May.
