Assassin's Creed is a franchise that has exploded in popularity and size since its creation back in 2007. Following the success of the first numbered sequel –Assassin's Creed II – in 2009 the number of games, comics, books, and movies set in the Assassin's Creed universe has grown exponentially, and so to has the requirement for this wiki to catalogue and record these entries. For eight years now, the preferred method of doing so has been the eraicon.

I (somewhat randomly) thought I would post this up to give us all an idea as to this Wiki's growth over the last few years.
As you can see, the chart covers the period of August 2010 through to November 2013, and details both our total article count (blue) against the monthly edit count (red). Here's a couple of stats for you:
- Over the period of Aug 10 through to Nov 13, we have experienced a 122% increase in our total article count
- Our busiest month, in terms of edits, was Nov 11 with 8,177 edits (just after the release of Assassin's Creed: Revelations
- Our slowest month, in terms of edits, was Feb 12 with just 1,958 edits

I can't think of a witty introduction, so let's just see whether Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag strikes gold, and successfully reinvigorates the series, or whether it's just another step down the line to the gallows.

Good news everybody! (Well, good news for those of you living in the UK at least.)
For those of you lucky enough to, like me, live in the UK, I am pleased to announce the official Black Flag Tour. Taking place from October 14th through to November 19th (yes, I'm aware this post is a couple of days late) Ubisoft will be showing Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag in all its splendour in a number of different Universities.
Not only will attendees get to play on the brand-spanking new PS4, but there's also the chance to win any number of Assassin's Creed goodies.

Ladies and gentleman, it is a glorious time in our lives; Assassin's Creed III has been unleashed upon the world for us to enjoy, and by God, will you enjoy it (at least until December 21st).
