An unnamed Roman centurion (died 47 BCE) served as a praefectus equitatius in Cyrenaica where he was based at the Chersonesos Roman Fort during the 1st century BCE.

In 47 BCE, a quartermaster stole a horse from a horse-breeder's stable in the region, and delivered it to the praefectus at the fort, becoming his main steed used for his patrols. Later on, the praefectus was tracked down and eliminated by the Medjay Bayek, who came looking for the horse on the horse-breeder's request. The horse, Hermes, was subsequently returned to his rightful owner.[1]
