Tours is a city south of Paris in western France.

History[]

On 21 April 1429, Jeanne d'Arc and her entourage arrived in the city, where she ordered two local painters to create two banners to march besides her in battle. One banner was her standard while the other banner was made to inspire her fellow French people to fight for France and cast fear into God's enemies. After the banners were completed, she and her team left to meet France's army in Blois.[1]

In the fall of 1870, the Second French Empire had fallen during the Franco-Prussian War and some of the French Templars fled to make a new base at Tours.[2] The Templars wasted no time as they found influence over the French government in the city and prolonged aid to the Parisians.[3] To investigate the Templars influence, the British Assassin Pierrette Arnaud was sent to oversee the city and find the Templar Art Hennighan.[2]

While there, Pierrette finally found sight of her injured mentor Simeon Price and carefully went to him. However, she spotted a sniper aiming at Simeon and confronted the gunman, who turned out to be Hennighan himself. In the rain, they chased and fought but Pierrette ultimately killed him. Behind her, Simeon found her over Hennighan's body. Safely together, Simeon thanked her while instructing her that he must find and kill the Templar Countess Konstanze von Visler by himself in Brussels. Before he goes, they set up a heliograph communication between the Assassin leader Michel Moulin in Paris and the Assassins in Tours.[4]
