But I do have a question. Is it possible to remove the arrows if there are no successors/predecessors? Like in the example, "position abolished" and "position created", could one remove the arrow (and maybe center the text)?
If succession isn’t directly continuous, we don’t know the exact next successor, or we don’t know the exact dates do we plan to do a "vacant" listing or just the next person that is known? American Mentor is an example for the last two. Not sure if there is an example for the first one I was thinking Ottoman Mentor but Dogan is never confirmed as such.
If the precession or succession isnt immediate, we can always say 'Eventually' the worldwide successor after The Mentor (2000) wasnt immediately William Miles, and we dont know who followed him immediately, so we can always just put "Eventually William Miles".
Even our pages on monarchs, we dont have pages on every single monarch, so to fill the gap we can just say "Eventually" followed by the next monarch available.
