  • Hi guys,

I've made an infobox for ship articles here.

    Would appreciate any thoughts/criticism/input.

A poll will be held in two weeks to determine whether it should be implemented.

    Thanks.

    • I like it. The only thing I could think to add is fate at the bottom of the history section just like the original wiki infobox

    • The only thingy I wanted to note, why mention the length of the ship first in feet and then in meters between brackets? Almost every country in the world uses the Metric System, aside from the US which uses the older Imperial system. Since this is a wiki directed to users worldwide, and the US is in the big minority with the Imperial system, I'd suggest flipping them, so 48m (157ft).

      The rest looks great!

    • It looks good. One of the few minor changes I can think of off the top of my head is that "Capacity" should maybe be changed to "Crew" because "capacity" can also refer to "cargo capacity", and "crew" is commonly used as a parameter for ship profiles. And yes, Kenny is correct; our policy is to use the metric system in this wiki.

    • I think "complement" is the technical term. But that might only be for official military.
