I know this wiki does not deal in gameplay assistance, but I'm kinda desperate. I don't expect get a response, but I'm going to ask anyway.
I have been having a very difficult time with the Tempest in Legacy of the First Blade part 2 with my level 55 character, equipped with level 55 weapons and armour. Basically, I can barely deal any damage to her, while she can kill me in a couple strikes. I'm playing on "Easy" difficulty, and my level scaling is set to "light," and I have chosen the dialogue option that allows her to kill her bodyguards before the fight starts. I have tried YouTube videos and IGN for assistance, but both turned out to be pretty unreliable.
I assume somebody here has been able to beat her. What do I need to do to move past that fight? I have been trying in vain since the DLC came out. This has proven to be the worst boss fight in the entire AC series so far IMO.
I probability do, I only use legendary level helix store armour. With each of the many times I have attempted the fight, I have tried different armour types, usually ones with fire or poison protection. So at least one of them might have that perk.
I have attempted the fight many times before, and rage quit every time, which is the first AC game I have done so.
You need an armor which max the melee damages. Also see what weapon damage they increase. You can use spear to be a long range but sword is good if you want to use a super attack. For abilities, Rage of Ares increase the damages of weapons and abilities and make you invincible and it don't cost in adrenaline. If you have the complete set of Persia soldier from the first part of the LotFB, it has a bonus with the slow time ability, which it a easy way to hit her and also complete your adrenaline for using more abilities. Using poison or fire arrows on long term. Block and dogde at the right time is also a good tactics.
Despite beating most of the order of hunters, except Timosa who i spared during the quest that involved her, now I can't find her, I somehow only have the Persian elite headband. Are there any other armour set that will work?
I play on easy mode for a reason in a story based game. I hate challenging boss fights. (If I wanted that , I would have played Dark Souls) Ubisoft really fucked up when they decided not to allow people to turn off level scaling in Odyssey. (A feature that was available in Origins) Thank you for the advice, but I cannot beat Tempest. I give up on this game! Which sucks! Despite some really difficult bosses in the older AC games, I have never encountered one that gives me a reason completely give up.
Oh yeah. There is the grinding I must do to get enough resources to upgrade armour and weapons. Ubisoft REALLY fucked up when they designed this game! I'm playing on EASY MODE, why should players have to put up with so much pointless aggrovation just to defeat one boss!?
I have tried beating her literally hundreds of times now..even on Easy mode. No luck. The worst part is having to sit through the very long dialog to try again. I don't know how many more times I can put up with hearing "I am no monster, I am the tempest" before I just give up on this game completely. Why did they make this one level so difficult? I have so enjoyed the game up to this point.
Hero Strike maxed out, combined with Battlecry of Ares maxed out. The cooldown on Hero Strike is the length of Battlecry's death-prevention power, letting you reliably use it twice within 20 seconds. The Pirate Set boosts your Assassin damage better than any of the other legendary sets (including bonuses to Critical Chance, Critical Chance at Full Health, and Critical Damage), and since health doesn't seem to help anyway, use the Falx of Olympos (or at least its engraving) and double that damage. This combo two-shots bosses even on Nightmare difficulty (and thus forced "Heavy" level scaling, albeit as long as critical hits proc appropriately), and it's honestly the only way I've been able to treat the endless camp clearing like an actual Assassin's Creed game.
Though I can tell you the Writhing Dread was much worse; ranged attacks, summoned backup, teleports away from your abilities, AND more durable than even the Minotaur and the Cyclops for some reason—and at least they had cutscenes that reset your cooldowns. Ultimately had to turtle up in a Greek Heroes build that made her attacks worthless, but the battle dragged on for 25 minutes. Phila is nothing compared to that wretch.
