Disclaimer: I have a theory about the entire AC franchise, but I'm not entirely sure how much merit there is to it.
So in the first few AC games you play as Desmond Miles from a third person POV... So what if you were never really Desmond to begin with?
Bare with me while I explain.
When you 'play as Desmond' who is playing as another character, you are playing 3rd person POV. In AC4, Desmond is gone but now you are suddenly playing in 1st person. They continued this change in Unity and Rogue.
Here is my theory: Is it possible that in AC1-3 you were playing as another character who played as Desmond who played as Altair, Ezio, Connor, and Haytham?
This is another side theory: what if the character we are playing as the female that Juno tells Desmond is supposed to accompany him?
I doubt it man. every time I desynchronize Desmond, I don't have this weird loading screen. And there's not enough proof for that. Although, about the character we are playing as female... I have my own theory.
remember in Black Flag, when the modern day Sage (i forgot his name is it John or something?) kidnapped you and said Juno would be taking over your body so they could be together again or something like that. Wouldnt you think thats a bit creepy if a female first civ entity will be going inside a body with the opposite gender and will (coughs) eventually have (coughs) intimate moments with the sage of the similar gender of the occupied body?
I doubt something as trivial as gender would stop Juno from resurrecting herself lol. She's been waiting for this for centuries after all. But she seems content to be in the digital world for now, so I don't think we'll ever see her attempting to "body-snatch" again.
As for your theory, jeantheassassin, it's possible, but it doesn't really add anything to the story and just seems contrived imo.
That could be true. What if Juno took over the mind of the Russian Asssassins because she was trying to get to Galina and posses her body. Her mother had visions of Eve so maybe she is a descendant and Juno wants her body because there is a high concentration of FC DNA in Galina.
But to counter your theory, Abel, why would Juno want Galina? If she theoretically wants her for her supposed Eve connection, wouldn't having her twin sister be enough? The "Eve" her mother saw was most definitely Juno. There is no known connection to Eve at all. Heck, there was no indication that Juno wanted Galina at all, in fact.
