Darby said on Twitter that the reason Clay said "....The Sun, your Son" is that when Juno showed Clay the future about The Earth, Lucy and Desmond, she also showed him some "Alternate Realities" and in one of them, Desmond had a child. So in that moment, Clay was fighting to remember which reality was the "Real one"
I believe that Desmond is definitely dead, there's too many proof for that. In the Eve's subplot though, I am thinking that Ubisoft will expand it more, hopefully for the games and not just the comics. In Syndicate, we will be searching for a first civ artifact so I'm not that much expecting an exciting first civ storyline for it. The modern day plot remains a mystery...
What is it to be dead? In essence Juno is also dead and has been for thousands of years but she saved and her preserved her mind in the Grand Temple similar to the way Clay did it in the Black Room. Many have speculated this is the same with Desmond, though in the literal sense he is dead but his mental capacity and memories are saved somewhere.
The Cave Paintings describe the story of Juno and Minerva, obviously, sometimes the story of the Cave Paintings is "Wrong", but considering that its an iroquese representation/religion, like Greek religion, its just a mere perspective of the Humans. At the end, The God Spirit traps the Evil Spirit in a subterranean-cave (The Grand Temple), but, some of The Evil Spirit's "servants" (The ones she created) continued The Evil Spirit's mission. That's a proof that The Templars were created by Juno :v
awww Dipson's theory was too good to be dumped in the toilet. About Abel's comments, that's cool. maybe desmond, clay, and juno are still "alive", not physically but virtually present in the gray. it could be possible. But so far, Ubisoft was not bringing up Desmond except in videos of his legacy as Subject 16 so I'm thinking they "declared" him "dead" and couldn't go back in any form whatsoever.
I don't think it's a coincidence, I have even seen them hint at it in a few interviews on Syndicate. Especially having Jeffrey as the main writer and he's the one that introduced it into the series. We saw him add hints to Eve in the game so no doubt he implemented Eve into the script.
if it is real, ooooh yes, finally out of the Sage plot! Anyway another theory: if Juno is with the Templars, why was she corrupting the Abstergo cloud server? Possibly, because she had to find a way to get a body, but wouldnt that cause comprmises in the Order (as if Juno cared anyway). But i have a feeling Juno is against everyone. Maybe the Assassins and the Templars will temporarily unite to stop Juno. Just maybe.
no, what i mean is her infiltrating in the cloud servers is bringing compromises in the Order. That would be a good ending, but I have a feeling it wouldnt end that way bec Templars and Assassins are so different.
@Misphantom Juno deeply hates The Templars, let me explain: When Juno realized that The First Civ would be extinted soon, she started devising a Plan: (Theory part: She created The Templar Order, a group of people that would conquer the Earth, slave mankind and give it to Juno when she returns). The other part of her Plan was to manipulate The Eye, which she made. So, Juno waited until 2012, leading both Templars and Assassins (EX: Connor,Clay) to protect the Grand Temple until Desmond's arrival. And when she was finally released, she found The Templars controlling the World, but, where was the slavery? Where was the suffering? The Templars were controlling the World, but not a she wanted. So, she created the NEW Templars, The Instruments of the First Will. I highly recommend to read the Manifesto after reading this. There is more to explain.
I really hope that is not the case. The Templars being a Templar plot for Juno takes away any legitmacy from the Templars, and I don't think people should take what Juno says to literally as she is very poetic. She needs the hidden 12 and Misphantom knows where it is.
wait what? i dont know any hidden 12 i think you confused me with Juno (very flattering, do i sound evil enough? XD) And thanks Dipson for enlightening me with your broad knowledge in this topic. Thinking back, i wouldn't be surprised if Assassins and Templars started working together, this has been a topic/ideal since AC:Forsaken and ACU, at least just o defeat Juno. No news about the Erudito team, right? I hope they'll be having a comeback.
@Misphantom: Are you convinced with the Juno/Templar theory? I also hope Erudito is implemented in the story more the last we heard of them is that they had an agent in Abstergo Entertainment called Phil. I've been doing some research and the Hidden Twelve could be an AC version of the Twelve Olympians
Not exactly convinced, but I am considering it. Its possible that the Hidden Twelve are the olympians, but as far as I know (I am a mythology fan) Juno, Minerva, and Jupiter are already in the twelve so does that mean they are excluded and new "gods" will take their place? I remember in AC2, the part where we must find statues of these gods, it may be possible for Ubisoft to introduce more of the first civilization thorugh these gods.
They could swap a few especially as Juno is not on good terms with Minerva and Jupiter. I mean you could swap some of them with Aita and other gods who were sometimes included as on of the 12. Unless she plans on resurrecting Jupiter and Minerva as well.
Greek Deities already confirmed to be members of the FC:
No not only Greek! Roman, Greek and Estruscan all the same basically with only slight differences. The writers can pick and choose what they want to take from each mythology and implement it with the First Civ.
I have a minor theory that in AC3, when Juno explains to Desmond what led to the Tobia catastrophy, their first solution was to built 4 towers to protect the Earth. And she mentions that the first one was never completed, which can only make you think about the tower of Babel, I don’t know if I’m the only person who interpreted this detail but I think it’s not irrelevant
I was actually watching that clip the other day and thought the same thing but later she said the process was automated and that the towers were finished which made me think of the temples in Rogue but we only dealt with three there so maybe the Tower of Babel was the fourth.
They should really stick to creating more Pieces of Eden and more First Civilization temples. Also they should do a scenartio where remnants and members of the First Civilization are re-discovered in a technological haven on Mars. Now that seems very great. Isu would exlain their world, beliefs and science.
