Thatta is a city in southern Pakistan.
History[]
In 819, inventor and scientist Bakhit agreed to a deal and was invited to Thatta by its prince, in order to create weapons and tools for him. Along with Bakhit, his young assistant Roshan came along with the rest of his household. Escorted by the prince's guards led by Advi, they arrived and instantly setup their shop at their new home. Meanwhile, Roshan found a new combat mentor in Advi on her free time.[1]
By 821, Roshan remained careful while working on Bakhit's experiments, as to not to be blown like her predecessor. Fortunately, while working with Bakhit by day, she trained with Advi by night. One night, during one of their sparring sessions, Advi shared his romantic feelings with her. However, due to her trauma with her deceased husband, she did not reciprocate and then left for home. However, Advi later came to her room and informed her of Bakhit having other clients. Advi advised her that although Bakhit may be spared, the rest of his household may be executed. After he left, Roshan had to be watchful over Bakhit now.[2]
A year passed and Roshan's education developed as she learned different languages from Bakhit's other clients and enhanced in her combat skills. Still scared, she informed Bakhit to be careful with his other jobs but her boss told her not to worry. The following evening, Advi broke into Roshan's room and immediately told to go as the prince's guards were coming to arrest Bakhit. Realizing the other household members were in trouble, she tried to inform them to leave. However, the guards barged in and took everyone else captive while Roshan left and escaped with Advi.[3]
Racing through the streets of Thatta, Advi was stopped and held by fellow guards while Roshan hid. Being interrogated of Roshan's location, Advi remained silent. Immediately, his throat was slit and Roshan ran from the scene. Finding one of Bakhit's clients Maryam and her caravan, she immediately told her of the prince's guards roaming the streets for Bakhit's associates.[3] Instantly, Maryam told her caravan clients to leave and then they all immediately left Thatta. Roshan joined Maryam's caravan as their bookkeeper and found a sisterhood with the women of the caravan.[4]
