pretty disappointing. Where's the list of them, and the "How to"?

Fall of Faith

Hey, you guys know that you can also perform a fall of faith by "Drop"ping from a high view point. I want to add this info on this page, however I don't know how to really put it into words. Alpheta 14:54, October 17, 2010 (UTC)

  • Never heard of it; falling from a high view point = death. Unless you can source it, it's not going in. --Jasca Ducato Council Chamber Assassination record 15:25, October 17, 2010 (UTC)
  • I've seen it as well. If you hang off of a view point and the hay or whatever ur going to drop into is directly below you, then by letting go you will fall into it. This also works off of walls. This actually happens in the story of ac2. When Ezio is talking to his dad in jail, he's hanging off of the wall. When the guards come ezio lets go and does the fall of faith into the hay. • Fall of faith is a stupid thing. The Leap of Faith is both a expression and a figurative use of a literal jump. It means going head first into something you're not sure, be it a idea or a cliff. The move, is cause the guy jumps from a high point with risk of death/injury, without certainty that he will land safely or anything at all. Drop of faith is... inexistent. You can say that he can drop from a view point into a haystack, but DON'T say it's a fall of faith. Just.. don't. -- D. Cello 23:43, October 17, 2010 (UTC)
  • I don't know if you're talking about this, but in Revelations you can climb to the very top of Galata Tower (where the momoir page is), aim carefully in the direction of the beam that is below you, and jump. With a bit of luck, you'll land safely in the haystack at the bottom of the tower without triggering the leap of faith flying position. Xeoxer 15:14, April 23, 2012 (UTC)

Highest viewpoints

What are the highest viewpoints in all the games?

{{SUBST:user:starkiller510/sig}} 21:05, April 17, 2011 (UTC)

I'm not compelely sure, but I think in the first one it's the Acre cathedral, in 2 it's Giotto's Campinale, in Brotherhood I think it's the Colesseum, in Revelations it might be Galata Tower, I am only certain about the second one... The Leaping Eagle 18:16, May 9, 2012 (UTC)

Where is the highest view point in AC3? Is it unknown or is it impossible to find out? ZBlue0 (talk) 19:56, September 10, 2013 (UTC)

I'd say it's likely one of the ones atop cliffs in the Frontier. I remember one in particular. T'was pretty high. --Crimson Knight Intercom 20:07, September 10, 2013 (UTC)

By my own investigations (between online searches and in-game tests), I was able to come up with a revised list for the highest veiwpoints in the games to date.

  • AC1 - Saint George's Cathedral, Acre (only slightly higher than an unnamed tower in Damascus)
  • AC2 - Giotto's Campanile, Florence, at 84.7 m (278 ft)
  • ACB - Palazzo Senatore, Rome (This is the highest viewpoint when you consider distance between the perch and the lowest haystack that can be jumped into; however, in terms of overall height, there is a Borgia tower located atop the Colle Palatino that outranks it. Most of Rome can be viewed from here, and it is technically the highest viewpoint on the map, as it is atop the hill.)
  • ACR - Galata Tower, Constantinople, with its viewpoint at 51.65 m (169.5 ft)
  • AC3 - Old North Church, Boston, Massachusetts, at 53 m (175 ft)
  • AC4 - Cathedral of Havana, Havana, Cuba, at roughly 45 m (147.6 ft)
  • ACRG - (This is the only one I haven't looked into, as I'm currently letting it out to a friend. I'll see when I get it back.)
  • ACU - Notre Dame de Paris, Paris, France, at 69 m (226 ft)

Hope this list helps someone, somewhere. I know it's the only time I've used the Pythagorean theorem since I've graduated. MasterKenway (talk) 04:04, April 3, 2015 (UTC)

Split the page?

Since the feature has changed should we split the page in two to differentiate them? Early franchise they were an animus feature added by Lucy etc to help the user synch with the ancestor but not necessarily something the ancestor did. In the later games the viewpoints are something the ancestor did to better commune with their animal companion. While the name is the same the lore surrounding the two elements is different.
