Nellie and Weaversbrook[]
Check on the characters box of Syndicate. Any prove that they will actually appear? GamerSophie (talk) 19:37, November 30, 2015 (UTC)
- I'll just copy my response over to here for clarification: "The UPlay achievements related to the Jack the Ripper DLC were put online recently - both Nellie and Weaversbrook, whoever they are, are named in those achievements. I believe they're associates you need to complete activities for, similar to Ned and Clara and the others." Crook The Constantine District 05:44, December 1, 2015 (UTC)
- Well, Nellie is an interesting character: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nellie_Bly
- I have no idea who may be Weaversbrook Spanish assassin (Talk) 23:43, December 1, 2015 (UTC)
- It could be a different Nellie or Nellie Bly, but I can't find if she actually was in London during 1888. If it is this Nellie, good job! GamerSophie (talk) 15:51, December 2, 2015 (UTC)
- Yeah, same here. I checked out Nellie Bly, and though she sounds like she'd make an interesting character, I can't seem to find any info on whether she was in London at the time. Then again, neither was Arthur Conan Doyle in 1868, so it's not impossible. Crook The Constantine District 15:54, December 2, 2015 (UTC)
- In stories, yes, but it's not shown anywhere if she was actually part of the investigation. GamerSophie (talk) 16:05, December 2, 2015 (UTC)
JTR Datamine Info[]
I don't want to, like, spam the characters' individuals pages with what I've gleaned so far from the JTR's localization packages, so I'm gonna put what I've discovered so far here since a lot of it has to do with the main plot. It's really quite fascinating to see what's buried inside the files!
There is a detailed timeline and a basic storyline outline of an earlier draft for the JTR DLC. It details Jacob's years after the main events of ACS up to the events of the JTR. Again, keep in mind, this was an earlier draft, so a lot of the stuff I'm gonna mention and seen so far isn't really "canon", and what might be canon...well, I don't really know how the wiki operates with that sort of thing.
1.) Lydia was conceptualized as Jacob's daughter, not his granddaughter, in the early draft.
2.) Jack's mother name is "revealed" in the draft, with the writers planning to have Jack be a child of an unseen NPC that's mentioned in the audio files of the game by the newsboys/girls, a woman named Jackie King (listed as "the armorer from the main game"). However, this seems to contradict the "A Mother's Murder" database entry found in the game's files, as it never mentioned that Jack's mother runs an armory and was a normal contact of Jacob's.
3.) There is a smaller timeline for Evie in the game, where it mentions the Indian Brotherhood's efforts did very little to get rid of their oppressors, Evie's training, and how her marriage with Henry was been failing for years now by the time JTR's plot kicks off. The last point is possibly the closest to a canon fact in the game, as Jeffrey Yohalem, lead writer for ACS, has stated that Monima Das is not an descendent of Evie's, even though Henry is Arbaaz Mir and Pyara Kaur's only known child. This more or less "confirms" the speculation that fans have about Monima's family line, with Henry probably remarrying someone else and why Evie returned to London to help Jacob raise Lydia later on without having any children of their own. Also, it mentions that Jacob's letter to Evie was originally conceptualized to be sent by Jack in order to lure Evie back to London.
4.) Jacob's character is less, per se, heroic. The originally draft for the JTR plotline included this as a small plot point, as Jacob is characterized a bit darker in his actions during his years apart from Evie, linking back to Jack beginning to adopt a more ruthless method under Jacob's tutelage. In the draft, Abberline eventually reveals this to Evie later on the game, and the draft shows that when Evie finds Jacob after killing Jack, she approaches him warily with her blades drawn.
Also, in the English localization packages, there's also a separate rough draft of a timeline in French, which I haven't had a chance to translate yet. It could offer more insight, and if I find anything else, I'll post it here.--NinjaSheik 21:28, 15 August 2021 (UTC)
