This page is spelled wrong. It's spelled INDEPENDENT.

I would correct it where necessary, but the page file is also not spelled correctly. (INDEPENDANT, as you can see in the address bar.)

I'm relatively amateur-ish when it comes to wiki-related stuff, mainly adding information and correcting false information, mistypes, etc. Is there a way to convert this page, address included, to the correct spelling?

Actually, it's spelled correctly. The source cited clearly says "Independant". I'm more than aware of the correct spelling, but this is how Ubisoft decided to spell it, unless there was an error in Game Informer (unlikely), and thus this is the spelling we use. And for future reference, you just use the drop-down menu from "Edit" and select "Rename" from there. ~ GI Auditore ^{Comms Channel} 18:50, September 11, 2012 (UTC)

I take half-responsibility for this one GI. I created the article using the spelling provided by GameInformer. However, they also spelled Mountebank incorrectly. If we can find some proof that it is Independent, we will change it. Stormbeast ♉ ^{The Helpful Place} 18:53, September 11, 2012 (UTC)

Okay. I'll update it if someone doesn't beat me to it when we get confirmation, but for the record I did take a look at the source myself, and see GameInformer misspell stuff all the time. I have a feeling this is indeed the case. I don't think Ubisoft would deliberately misspell a character name/title.

Independant = British spelling.

Independent = American spelling.

And since US of 'merica wasn't around yet, it's correct, as I imagine the colonists still used British variants of words. --Kainzorus Prime ^{Walkie-talkie} 04:23, September 13, 2012 (UTC)
