Where is this information coming from? Conor Shepard 19:20, February 20, 2011 (UTC)

Is this sourced for nothing? Can't you look at the "References" section? Damn! -- Master Sima Yi 19:24, February 20, 2011 (UTC)
The references listed do not mention George W. Bush being backed by the Templar or Al Gore being backed by the Assassins. Someone should update the references if true or delete this article. Solidus Law 17:08, March 2, 2011 (UTC)
Just point some things out. Bush appears in the Brotherhood Rifts, having a special cluster focused around his presidency. That whole cluster points to the Bush house being a Templar organisation. Plus, The Mentor in The Fall talks about one of the candidats, Bush or Gore, being backed by the Templars and the other by the Assassins. Bush is a Republican, Gore is part of the Democratical party. Democracy was for free will -> Gore isn't the Templar. -- Master Sima Yi 17:10, March 2, 2011 (UTC)

Historical characters

You do realize that recent history still counts as history, right? I would most definately list this under "Historical characters". If you disagree, I would like to know why. Same goes for the rest of these: George W. Bush, Margaret Thatcher, John Roberts, Henry Kissinger, Al Gore, Condoleezza Rice, Dick Cheney. 04:06, April 20, 2011 (UTC)

I've just been re-playing through one of the Truth files, and this bit in the letter from Antonin Scalia to "S." caught my attention:

As discussed, W. will prove the perfect distraction. I have no doubt he will restart animosities with Iraq. Let him, it will give C.'s contractors more work. When the time comes, I will make sure W. is given Roberts' name.

Pardon me if I'm wrong, but doesn't this imply that Bush was unaware of the Templars' plan to elect John Roberts? And, if so, while the message on the photo of him (earlier in the same segment) seems to imply that he's a Templar, doesn't this sort of point the other way? Just a thought. 22:06, April 20, 2011 (UTC)

Update to that (and yes, I left the above post): I've now read The Fall, and I noticed that the Mentor refers to Bush as "the Templars' puppet". Are there any other thoughts on this? Guardian Assassin 20:33, May 20, 2011 (UTC)

As shown in a magazine.

Having in mind the new image policy should we use the image found in The Fall comics that shows a young George Bush instead of the Real World pic?? Sekuiya 09:33, July 11, 2011 (UTC)

Bush & Templars

Though this page has be edited in an attempt to make George not look so bad, I still see him as a templar. It now says he was used as a puppet by the templars, but my mind still puts him crookedly dealing with them. Even if the Assassin's Creed story never specifically states George is a templar, I think we all know he is far from a good guy. With that said every other notorious indidual in history has been linked with them templars, what make George any different? Solo assassin 11:03, August 5, 2011 (UTC)

Uhm, it's a game. Don't take it seriously. Uditore 11:09, August 5, 2011 (UTC)

While the series does seem to indicate that he is a Templar or at the minimum is backed by Templars, is it possible to keep real life political biases out of these things? It comes across a bit delusional and dishonest. It's a piece of fiction no matter what you think of the real man.Fenris07 20:08, February 16, 2012 (UTC)

What are you referring to? Are you referring to the discussion above or are you implying that the page should be deleted? Because the page is staying. We are a source for all information related to the AC canon, and we aren't making an exception because people don't agree with the canon. -- Master Sima Yi 20:13, February 16, 2012 (UTC)
The discussion above. It's not so much discussion about the canon of AC as a person's feelings about a real life individual. That's what I mean about keeping political bias out. Post the facts that we know (that he appears to at a minimum backed by Templars if not an actual member). Fenris07 20:26, February 16, 2012 (UTC)
The discussion above was kind of old. I appreciate your good will, but there is no need to reply to dead discussions. ;) All the facts we know are on the page, no speculation. -- Master Sima Yi 20:30, February 16, 2012 (UTC)
