HD Remake[]

Assassin's Creed III: Liberation will be remastered and released as Assassin's Creed: Liberation HD. Because of the whole lot of changes in the remastered edition* , there is a need for a separate page for the HD remake.

Why does there need to be another page for a HD remake of a game? It's the same game but with graphical tweaks and some new missions. As long as we incorporate the changes to the page under the premise that they were included with the HD remake, then we won't need another Liberation page. Slate Vesper (talk) 19:50, September 13, 2013 (UTC)

Maybe not a new page, but maybe rename the page and template "Assassin's Creed: Liberation", as a collective term for III: Liberation and Liberation HD, with an "HD Release" section to account for the changes, and possibly a PSVita section for the Vita-exclusive features. This should also apply to mentions of the game in other articles and templates. Dann494 (talk) 16:42, October 11, 2013 (UTC)

Pointless. All the new/revamped features of HD release will most likely take up one or two paragraphs. The rest can remain as it is, as the article describes the Vita version primarily, anyway.--Kainzorus Prime Walkie-talkie 17:23, October 11, 2013 (UTC)
How will we source the HD exclusive gameplay? We can't use the Assassin's Creed 3: Liberation tag, can we? :S Crook The Constantine District 18:11, October 11, 2013 (UTC)
We'll cross that bridge when we get to it. --Kainzorus Prime Walkie-talkie 18:35, October 11, 2013 (UTC)
We use the 'French Comic' tag to cover Desmond, Aquilus, Accipter and Hawk, so I don't see an issue with using the same tag here. - - Jasca Ducato Council Chamber Assassination record 20:30, October 11, 2013 (UTC)
I agree with Jasca. That way all the original Liberation-related articles don't need to have another era icon either because they are featured in the remake. It's also just the same game with some upgrades, I don't see the need for a separate tag or why this is even considered an issue. -- Master Sima Yi Talk 20:53, October 11, 2013 (UTC)

Ok Don't Give Me Any Hate For This But...[]

I was wondering since I already sold my PS3 and have no intention of getting another (or a vita for that matter,) does anyone think this will make it to next gen. (p.s. I also would like some backstory for the ACIV missions starring Aveline herself, hence the question.) Doop Himself 22:44, September 13, 2013 (UTC)

Considering that it was announced for the PS3, 360, & PC only I highly doubt it will be ported to anything else. If you want to play it you can always get it for the PC. Since I can't get the ACIV:BF's Aveline DLC & AC3's Benedict Arnold DLC, I watched somebody else's gameplay footage on youtube. You can do the same. --Revan's Exile (talk) 15:32, January 15, 2014 (UTC)

IU name[]

Since this game was also 'released' IU by Abstergo Entertainment and Ubisoft, is a particular name given for it? --Jasca Ducato Council Chamber Assassination record 16:21, October 7, 2013 (UTC)

There is, but it's Initiates information. :S Slate Vesper (talk) 17:30, October 7, 2013 (UTC)

Are they still in Closed-Beta-Called-Alpha? --Kainzorus Prime Walkie-talkie 17:37, October 7, 2013 (UTC)
Yup. :| Slate Vesper (talk) 17:49, October 7, 2013 (UTC)
I have read in one of my many news articles that the Oliver Bowden is also IU. You can find them in the modern part of ACIVBF.--ACsenior (talk) 09:08, October 8, 2013 (UTC)
Eugh, I gave up on Initiates ages ago. Ah well... --Jasca Ducato Council Chamber Assassination record 09:42, October 8, 2013 (UTC)
Now the NDA has been lifted, can somebody give me the game's name? Initiates is blocked whilst I'm at work... --Jasca Ducato Council Chamber Assassination record 13:39, October 18, 2013 (UTC)
"Liberation". 1; 2. Auditore5 λ 17:04, October 18, 2013 (UTC)

HD Remake Synching[]

Will you be able to synch the ps3 version of Liberation with 3 for the ps3?Smashman0 (talk) 18:45, October 26, 2013 (UTC)

I'd like to know about for the 360. --Revan's Exile (talk) 15:32, January 15, 2014 (UTC)

They might be able to do it for the 360 now if they did an update.216.226.127.171 17:27, January 15, 2014 (UTC)

Two things happen when you sync with the AC3, Aveline gets to use Connor's Tomahawk & you get to play as Connor during the New York mission. Liberation HD let me use Connor's Tomahawk but I didn't get to play as Connor. --Revan's Exile (talk) 03:32, January 20, 2014 (UTC)

They're both unlocked through Uplay. Check the DNA for "Connor's Way". Stormbeast The Helpful Place 03:35, January 20, 2014 (UTC)

In or out of universe?[]

This article is evidently supposed to be out-of-universe, but the intro sure doesn't read that way. Youmademesignup (talk) 22:47, January 7, 2014 (UTC)

Have an IU counterpart. --Kainzorus Prime Walkie-talkie 22:53, January 7, 2014 (UTC)
I know about that article. It's where stuff like:
due to the game being a product released by Abstergo Industries to the public. Liberation was created and used by Abstergo as a propaganda tool to depict a grey area side of the conflict between the Assassins and Templars, through censoring out negative acts by the Templars and depicting only the positive points of their influence, along with the misguided and disorganized Assassin Order.'However, Liberation was breached early on by Erudito, a hacking collective operating in opposition to Abstergo. Erudito gave players the opportunity to view uncensored memories that Abstergo had originally covered up, revealing to them the truth about the Assassins and Templars.

belongs, doesn't it? Shouldn't this article be about the game's development by Ubisoft Sofia rather than by the Templars? Youmademesignup (talk) 23:14, January 7, 2014 (UTC)

This is about Ubisoft Sofia developing it. The premise of the Templars creating it is a framing device for in-universe purposes. It's essentially the equivalent of how Brotherhood (for example) would give a little summary of how the modern day story progressed on for Desmond since AC2.

In AC3: Liberation, the IU explanation is an experimental attempt by Abstergo to sequence a person's ancestor's memories into a playable product by the general public, while manipulating it to remove any details they deem tarnishing to the Templar cause.

Since it essentially follows the same development route used by Ubisoft, it gives them familiarity in design. Slate Vesper (talk) 00:41, January 8, 2014 (UTC)
