The Summer of Love was a 1967 cultural movement in San Francisco, United States, where thousands of young people gathered to celebrate peace, love, music, and counterculture. It became a symbol of the hippie movement, promoting free expression, anti-war ideals, and alternative lifestyles.[1] In November 2013, after analyzing Abstergo Entertainment's Sample 17 Project information extracted from Desmond Miles, Project Supervisor Melanie Lemay sent out an email with a list of possible time periods for their next project and noted that Miles had a matrilineal ancestor that participated in the movement.[2]
