Stray Naps was a virtual representation of one of Eivor Varinsdottir's genetic memories, relived by Layla Hassan through the Portable Animus HR-8.5.
Description[]
Eivor came across a snoring man.
Dialogue[]
While traveling in Lincolnscire, Eivor happened across a sleeping man near some Roman ruins.
- Norse Man: (snoring)
Eivor read a note near him.
Folded Note
- Stranger,
If you are reading this, you have either found me asleep or killed me and stole from my corpse.
If it be the first, I regret this annoyance and ask that you return me to my wife in Grimsby, a village to the north by the shoreline of Lincolnscire.
If it be the second, I hope you slip and fall down the sheerest of cliffs.
Eivor elected to bring the man home, summoning her horse and loading him onto its rear. He talked through his sleep.
- Norse Man: Enough! You know not to touch me there. (snoring)
He continued snoring and mumbling while Eivor navigated through the forest to the north to reach Grimsby.
- Eivor: It's not enough that you're deadweight, I have to listen to your babbling as well.
As she entered Grimsby, she heard a woman shouting out.
- Norse Woman: Follow my voice, Bjarte!
Eivor surmised she was his wife and approached her.
- Norse Woman: O gods, Bjarte! Bring him inside!
Eivor brought the man inside and laid him down on the floor.
- Eivor: I found him asleep beneath a tree. He's unharmed.
- Norse Woman: My poor Bjarte. I am so glad he's all right. You saved his life.
- Eivor: Luck was with him. No hungry wolves or roaming bandits. The note he carries is helpful, but he must have more caution. He may not be so lucky the next time.
- Norse Woman: You are right. I will wait until he wakes, and when he does, I will belt him.
- Eivor: That is a start. Farewell.
- Norse Woman: I was filled with worry.
Outcome[]
Eivor brought the man home to his wife.
