Skinny Joe was a rioter who took part of the New York City draft riots in 1863. The day before the start of the riots, Skinny Joe was asked by Gallus Mag, the bouncer of the pub The Hole in the Wall to drive Abraham, one of William Tweed's black servant, to the boss' residence. During the drive, they discussed the riots to come.
The next day, Skinny Joe took a significant role in the riots, during which Abraham was beaten to death.
