The skill tree is an in-game user interface that allows the player to upgrade the abilities of the Assassin Arno Dorian. A total of 25 skills can be unlocked and are assigned to one of 4 trees, Melee, Ranged, Stealth, or Health. Skill points are earned when the player accomplish missions of the main story and Co-op missions. Some skill must be find in the coop missions.[1]

Skill Skill Points required Requirement Description
Long Weapon Master 4 Completed Sequence 5 Gain mastery of Long Weapons, granting the ability to make Strong Attacks. When a Long Weapon is equipped, hold X / ⬜ to perform.
One-Handed Weapon Master 4 Complete Sequence 5 Gain mastery of swords and other edged weapons, granting the ability to make Strong Attacks. When a sword is equipped, hold X / ⬜ to perform.
Staggering Strike 2 Complete Sequence 2 An unbalancing attack that stuns the enemy for a moment. In fight, hold A / X to perform.
Heavy Weapon Master 4 Complete Sequence 5 Learn to master of Heavy Weapons, granting you the ability to make Strong Attacks. When a heavy weapon is equipped, hold X / ⬜ to wind up and release an attack.
Ground Execution 8 Complete Sequence 9 A fatal strike against a prone enemy. To perform, hold X / ⬜ when your enemy is on the ground.

Ranged Weapon 1 Complete Sequence 2 The ability to use ranged weapons such as pistols and muskets. Hold LB / L2 to AIM and press RT / R2 to Shoot.
Assassin Cache 10 Complete Sequence 2 The ability to create an Assassin Cache, which allows you and allies to recover bombs and other consumables. When equipped, press "↓" to create a cache.
Money Pouch 2 Complete Sequence 2 A money pouch that can be thrown to attract crowds. When equipped, press RB / R1 to quick throw. Hold RB / R1 to aim and throw.
Stun Grenades 2 Complete Sequence 2 A flash bomb that can stun groups of enemies. When equipped, press RB / R1 to quick throw. Hold RB / R1 to aim and throw.
Improved Phantom Blade 8 Complete Sequence 9 An upgrade to the Phantom Blade that lets you fire twice without reloading or launch berserk blades.
Poison Gas 8 Complete Sequence 9 A bomb that create a large poison cloud that damages anyone inside it. When equipped, press RB / R1 to quick throw. Hold RB / R1 to aim and throw.

Communal Sense 4 Complete Sequence 2 Share Eagle Vision with allied players.
Disguise 6 Complete Sequence 2 Temporarily disguise yourself (and nearby allies) as a selected target. This skill will fail if you get too close to an enemy. When equipped, press "↓" while facing your target to don a disguise.
Apprentice Locksmith 2 Complete Sequence 2 The ability to pick lock on doors and chests.
Journeyman Locksmith 6 Apprentice Locksmith; Complete Sequence 5 Increased skill at lockpicking.
Master Locksmith 9 Journeyman Locksmith; Complete Sequence 9 Further increased skill at lockpicking.
Roll Recovery 2 Complete Sequence 5 Reduced damage and faster recovery from falls. To perform, press B / O when landing on the ground.
Double Air Assassination 4 Complete Sequence 5 An instantly fatal air attack against two nearby targets. Press X / ⬜ to perform.
Double Assassination 4 Complete Sequence 2 A fatal attack against two nearby targets. Press X / ⬜ to perform.
Environmental Blending 1 Complete Sequence 2 The ability to vanish by performing mundane activities, such as sitting on a bench or leaning against a wall. Walk into blending object to perform.

Group Healing 10 Complete Sequence 2 Ability to heal nearby players of some damage. When equipped, press "↓" to heal.
Thick Skin 2 Complete Sequence 2 The ability to withstand a little more damage in combat.
Thicker Skin 5 Thick Skin; Complete Sequence 5 The ability to withstand more damage in combat.
Thickest Skin 9 Thicker Skin; Complete Sequence 9 The ability to withstand a lot more damage in combat.
Iron Skin 12 Thickest Skin; Complete Sequence 9 The ability to withstand so much more damage in combat.
