In 48 BCE, scenes of gruesome, ritualistic ceremonies drew the attention of the Medjay Bayek of Siwa. One of these scenes was located at this shrine to Serapis, under which there was a small chamber in the cliff face. Within this chamber, someone had crudely prepared a body for burial, removing at least its stomach.
