Shari' was the central region in the Harbiyah district of Baghdad, surrounded by the Quadrangle of the Persians to the southwest, Zubaydiyah to the north and Khuld to the southeast. The area comprised mostly of factories and served as the hideout of the merchant Dervis, who moved there from Anbar.[1]
