The River Rhine, also known as Renos to the Romans and Gauls,[1] is a major river in Central and Western Europe.

In the late 9th century, the Viking jarlskona Eivor Varinsdottir led raids along the river.

History

The enclosed content is of ambiguous canonicity.

During the 3rd century, the Aleman general and member of the Liberalis Circulum, Accipiter, lead several attacks against the Roman Empire along the Rhine.[2]

In the 870s to 880s, the Viking jarlskona Eivor Varinsdottir discovered the river after Vagn deciphered a clue located on the body of the River Erriff champion. Eivor sailed to the monastery at Ferrières, killing the Frankish champion and claiming Ulfberht's Sword.[1] Following the death of the Frankish champion, the monastery hired a mercenary to act as a 'champion of the gods'.[3] Eivor would kill the mercenary at Ferrières, and claim Sir Gareth's Holy Sword.[4]
