Richard Montgomery (2 December 1738 – 31 December 1775) was a soldier in the British Army who later defected to the Continental Army.
In 1775, he led a Colonial force on an assault of Quebec. However, the Assassin Connor realized that the inhabitants of Quebec had not asked for liberation. Due to this, the Assassins tried to dissuade Richard, to no avail. Connor then sent his recruits to stop the attack themselves.[1]
