- "Is this lake full of blood? Wonder what's made it so red?"
- ―Kassandra[src]
The Red Lake was a lake located west of the town of Opous in Lokris, Greece. It was notable for the vivid red of its waters. The lake was so significant part of the geography that it gave its name to the whole region: Red Lake Bay.
During the Peloponnesian War the lake was visited by the Spartan misthios Kassandra.[1]
