The Princesa do Céu was tasked to protect the merchant ships near the Portuguese colonies in the Caribbean. During her time, she was one of the most advanced and strongest ship of the Portuguese Navy. Her hull was made with reinforced lead and iron plates and she heavily relied on its cannons.
