Power to the People was a virtual representation of one of Ezio Auditore da Firenze's genetic memories, relived by Desmond Miles in 2012 through the Animus 2.0.
Description[]
The citizens, rallied by Niccolò Machiavelli, La Volpe and Paola, massed in front of the Palazzo Pitti to confront Girolamo Savonarola.
Dialogue[]
After assassinating Savonarola's lieutenants, Ezio met with Paola, La Volpe and Machiavelli among the crowd before the Palazzo Pitti.
- Paola: You've done well, Ezio.
- Ezio: What happens now?
- Machiavelli: Watch.
Savonarola emerged from the Palazzo Pitti and faced the crowd.
- Savonarola: Silence! I demand silence! Why are you here?! Why do you disturb me?! You should be cleansing your homes. Cleansing your SELVES! There are bonfires to feed! Prayers to be said! Penance to be done!
The monk then revealed the Apple of Eden and held the Piece of Eden aloft, attempting to use it to subdue the raging citizens.
- Savonarola: You will do as I command! You will SUBMIT!
Ezio threw a knife, injuring Savonarola's hand and causing the Apple to fall to the ground. The crowd then began to carry the monk away to the Palazzo della Signoria.
As Ezio hesitated to throw a knife to Savonarola in order to prevent him from using the Apple, Machiavelli did so, injuring the monk's hand and causing the artifact to fall to the ground. The crowd then began to carry the monk away to the Palazzo della Signoria.
- Savonarola: NO!
- La Volpe: Find the Apple, Ezio! It can't be far.
A Borgia agile guard picked the Apple up and fled. Ezio proceeded to chase and kill the guard, finally retrieving the Apple after so much time.
Outcome[]
After almost ten years, Ezio Auditore re-obtained the Apple of Eden. Savonarola was taken away by the citizens of Florence as they attempted to execute him.

Notes[]
- ↑ According to Girolamo Savonarola's page on Wikipedia, he was to partake on a trial by fire to prove to Florence and his rivals that he was capable of performing miracles and, as such, be able to save himself from dying burned in the fire. However, the contest that was meant to happen on 7 April 1498 suffered several delays, and the crowd that gathered ended up drenched in rain, cancelling the trial. Girolamo was blamed for the fiasco, prompting the people to rebel to his rule. Given this, it can be assumed that he was arrested on the day after, 8 April 1498.
