During the Peloponnesian War, Pentheus fell ill. The physician Hippokrates saw to him, but could only ease his pains, both physical as well as mental, for Pentheus was worried about the future of his son. After succeeding in this, Hippokrates sent Kassandra to gather some hemlock for Pentheus' pains.
