The Nameless Sword was a makhaira which belonged to Okyllos the Successor, a mercenary who operated in Greece during the 5th century BCE. The sword had originally been used by countless generations of soldiers before it had ended up in Okyllos' hands.
During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra claimed the sword for herself, along with the promised rewards, after defeating Okyllos for a bounty.[1]
