Mykonos City, also called Chora, is the main settlement on the island of Mykonos, Greece. In classical antiquity it was a polis located in the Tavern Point region of the Silver Islands, famous for its blue granite and abundant wells.
Among its landmarks, Mykonos boasted a temple of Artemis and an altar dedicated to the same goddess.
During the Peloponnesian War the misthios Kassandra came to the town and explored it.[1]
