Michael Collins (16 October 1890 – 22 August 1922) was a leading Irish figure in the Irish War of Independence, known for his role in organizing guerrilla warfare and intelligence operations against British forces. He later helped negotiate the Anglo-Irish Treaty and played a key part in founding the Irish Free State.[1] During the war, Collins worked with Christopher Darby's great-grandmother, a fact Darby mentioned in a November 2013 email with his Abstergo Entertainment co-workers discussing new time periods for a company project.[2]
