Merti was an Egyptian smuggler during the reign of Cleopatra.  She was an associate of Aya and operated out of Thebes.

History

Around 38 BCE, Aya, now Amunet, sent a letter and parcel to Bayek instructing her to give to Merti at Luxor, near her shop. She told Bayek what seemed to be a brief summary of the curse and how it began, and advised him to check the black market for clues. She also advised him that if he had more questions, to speak to Isidora, the God's Wife of Amun at Karnak.[1]
