Maria was the daughter of Quincent and Ellen during the American Revolution, and resided within the Davenport Homestead following the family's move from Boston.

Biography

Life in Boston

She resided within Boston at her home with her parents, Quincent and Ellen. Ellen was a seamstress and tailer who worked at her tailering business, which was located near their home. Her father, Quincent, was an abusive father, who beated his wife, and possibly Maria as well.

Meeting Connor

At one point during the Revolution, Quincent cornered Ellen against her workshop, insulting and beating her. Maria, frantic, rushed out into the streets, calling for help, to no avail. Connor, who happened to be present in Boston at the time, rushed to her aid, and she led him to Quincent and Ellen. Connor delivered a harsh beating to Quincent, who rushed away, and Ellen thanked him. Connor offered them a place away from Boston, but where they could still conduct their tailoring services. She was hesitant, but ultimately agreed, and they departed Boston.

Life on the Homestead

Upon arriving on the Homestead, Maria lived a quiet, serene, and peaceful life, conducting chores in assistance for her mother. Upon Father Timothy's arrival on the Homestead, Ellen voiced her need for Maria to begin reading the Bible, but it is uncertain whether she did or didn't. At one point, during a chat with several other women of the Homestead and Connor, Ellen revealed that Maria was a troublemaker, and a free-minded girl, and she had been discovered by Norris in his mine with a large gash in her knee. She was later treated by the newly-arrived Dr. Lyle White.

Quincent's Return

Soon after, Quincent returned with a band of thugs, attempting to deliver revenge to Ellen and Maria. They attempted to break into their home, but a group of the Homestead's villagers ended the attack. Quincent was told off by Connor, and sent away, where it is presumed he gave up and never returned. Maria and Ellen then presumably lived a peaceful life on the Homestead.

Trivia

  • There is a glitch that occurs while examining Maria on the Homestead. She will walk towards her home, but will appear to be caught on a stone embankment, unable to move.
