Manius's Sanctum was an Isu vault located in the hillside south of Ravensthorpe in Mercia, England. It housed the workshop of Roman engineer Manius Calvisius.
History[]
By the time of the reign of Emperor Nero, this Isu structure had been investigated by the Romans, and a workshop for Manius had been built. There, he would design and test many types of traps comissioned by Nero who wanted to dissuade the Britons from gathering at other similar sites without outright sealing them. Manius also attempted to to open a final entrance to the vault, a large stone door on the ground before what seemed to be an Isu map of the Isles, but did not manage it.[1]
In the late 9th century, Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan explored the location and retrieved the Fallen Hero Cape from a chest in Manius' workshop before leaving to explore the other tombs.[1]
