Losers Weepers was a visual representation of one of Bayek's genetic memories, relived by Layla Hassan through the Portable Animus HR-8.
Description
Bayek meets Fire Eyes, a legend in his own mind and the greatest musician in Memphis. That is if the lyre had not sunk to the bottom of the Nile.
Dialogue
While in Yebu Nome, Bayek came across a man by a dock.
- Fire Eyes: Yes, it is me.
- Bayek: Amun be praised.
- Fire Eyes: The actor, the poet, the musician. I am the one they call Fire Eyes, the singer from Memphis.
- Bayek: Memphis? You are a long way from that city, neb.
- Fire Eyes: I am pining for my lyre.
- Bayek: Your... what?
- Fire Eyes: My instrument. She sank to the depths of the black waters. Lost when those Philistines sunk our ship down river.
- Bayek: Everyone is a music critic.
- Fire Eyes: She paid me a King's ransom to sing at her villa. How could I know that money came from smuggling wine? Would you find it? I will give you my fee from, the Lotus?
Bayek boarded a felucca and sailed out to the Nile to look for Fire Eye's lyre. He found a wrecked felucca and dived below to investigate. He investigated a pouch.
- Bayek: This shipwreck is too old to be the smugglers.
Bayek resurfaced and travelled to another site. He dived below the waters and investigated another wrecked felucca.
- Bayek: Wine amphorae from the Lotus' villa.
Bayek opened a chest and recovered a lyre. He returned to Fire Eyes with his instrument.
- Fire Eyes: I never thought I would see you again, my dearest!
- Bayek: That is kind but... ah, you are talking to the lyre.
- Fire Eyes: And you, savior, I will compose an epic song in your honor. An ode to the mighty... and your name?
- Bayek: Bayek of...
- Fire Eyes: Bayek... Bay-ek, Baaaay-ek. There is no rhyme for that, I will can you after my father... Shet.
- Bayek: So you'll be heading back to Memphis?
- Fire Eyes: No! I am done with that backwater. Thebes awaits! Come find me there when you tire of this cultural desert.
Outcome
Bayek retrieved Fire Eyes' lyre from the shipwreck and returned it to him.
