Last Man Standing is a memory in Assassin's Creed II.
Description
Ezio Auditore, in full Assassin gear, attends the execution of his wrongfully convicted father and brothers. The previous night, Uberto Alberti, the gonfaloniere of Florence, had told Ezio not to worry, as he would clear up the misunderstanding.
Ezio finds Uberto at the execution stand, giving a speech. Uberto announces the Auditore family guilty, due to the lack of evidence in the contrary, and soon reveals himself, through his speech, that he played a part in the arrest. Though Giovanni insists that the evidence Ezio had delivered to Uberto the previous night would clear their names, Uberto denies any knowledge of the delivery. Ezio yells at Uberto, but Uberto doesn't listen and commands a guard to let the Auditore family hang. The lever is pulled and the Auditore family are murdered. Though Ezio rushes forward, threatening Uberto, he is confronted by Uberto's soldiers and is promptly disarmed by a Brute. Possessing no other weapons, he is forced to make an escape to the Palazzo Auditore using free-running and hiding spots.
This memory marks the end of Memory Sequence 1.
