King of Shitsby was a virtual representation of one of Eivor Varinsdottir's genetic memories, relived by Layla Hassan through the Portable Animus HR-8.5.
Description[]
Eivor heard strange noises coming from the church and investigated.
Dialogue[]
Eivor approached a decrepit church in the swamps of Cruwland in Lincolnscire and heard some noises.
- Eivor: Sounds coming from that old church.
She drew near to the entrance and carefully stepped inside the nave, flanked by nondescript bandit heraldry.
- Eivor: Is someone there?
The voices hurriedly shushed one another. At the apse of the church sat a macabre throne fashioned from sticks, mud, and skulls.
- Eivor: Hmm. Scraps and rags... left for the rats.
She inspected a note near the throne.
- Mud Throne:
What lies in ruin may one day be rebuilt
We wait at the ready for he who wears the Crown of Briars.
Eivor sat on the throne and immediately thought poorly of her decision.
- Eivor: Eh. Hard as stone. And the stench is ripe.
A voice rang through the church to accost her.
- Unknown Voice: You! How dare you! Crowland's throne belongs only to the one true King of Briars!"
Eivor, unperturbed, responded in kind.
- Eivor: This throne of muck and manure? I suppose that makes you... the Lord of Shitsby?
- Unknown Voice: How dare you insult the brave and valorous soldiers of—
- Eivor: ...Of Shitsby, yes. I know your type.
A group of bandits, equipped as poorly as the many groups of outlaws Eivor had fought before, shattered windows and swarmed into the church.
- Anglo-Saxon Soldier 1: We will fight for this muddy kingdom tooth and nail!
- Anglo-Saxon Soldier 2: Crowland is ours, cur!
Eivor slipped through them and fought them outside, where she had more room to maneuver.
- Anglo-Saxon Soldier 3: Don't let this one escape!
- Anglo-Saxon Soldier 4: No one defiles this sacred throne and goes unpunished!
Eivor killed all of the bandits and scorned their lasting legacy before continuing on her way.
- Eivor: Fools in the thrall of an absent king. Pitiful.
Outcome[]
Eivor killed the bandits inhabiting the church.
