Katzenelnbogen was a large Frankish fortification build along the River Rhine in the southern part of the region, east of Rheinberg. It was protected by a significant military force.
In the 9th century, it was raided multiple times by the Vikings Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan, Vagn, and her longship crew.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
