Joseph Palmer was a privateer and crewmate of William Kidd.
Biography[]
Joseph Palmer received a piece of Kidd's map containing clues to the location of his Shard of Eden. He also received a letter from Kidd, in which he confided that he was being hunted by English soldiers, who were quite intent on obtaining his Shard. He noticed that they wore rings adorned with a red cross and concluded that did not fight on the Crown's behalf.[1]
At some point, Palmer retired to Jamaica and his scroll ended up in Lord Lewis Hutchinson's private museum, where Assassin Ratonhnhaké:ton retrieved it in 1776.[2]
